[spoiler]*A Wild Gringo has appeared*[/spoiler] Hello all. As I am sure you know, the Game Informer coverage of Rise of Iron is immense. It ranges from future Live Events to the new Max Light. Along with these articles have been many pretty pictures, and questions to add along with them. Now before I get into possibilities, I would first like to point out why I believe it is plausible a new weapon type is coming. In every expansion since HoW, a new weapon type has appeared. HoW had Sidearms and TTK had Swords. Each expansion introduced a small sample size and the next one expands upon them while adding a new one, in small sample size. Bungie knows how to please the masses and it is obvious people claw for new weapon types. The community has had so many ideas, from SMG's to Combat Shotguns to Laser Rifles and Grenade Launchers. It is something on par with Weapon Skins and Custom Games with how much the community begs for them. As for us not knowing about it, Bungie is always very secretive about new weapon types. Look at Swords and how Bungie only hinted at them for the longest time before finally revealing them. I certainly think it is reasonable to expect a new weapon type. And it will probably be a primary weapon simply because the other weapon types introduced after Vanilla were secondary and heavy. But this is simply pure guessing. Or is it? Look at that picture up top again. They are loading into a crucible match garnished in fancy new armor sets. Since it is the beginning of a crucible match, everyone is holding a primary. So either a Scout Rifle, Pulse Rifle, Auto Rifle, or Hand Cannon. Now look at that Warlock to the right of the flag holder. What weapon does he have? http://imgur.com/qnmaFw0 It looks to maybe a Scout Rifle, but it is strange in many respects. Scout rifles are generally somewhat large bodied weapons. The General Frame of a Scout is something like MIDA, which is extremely distinct from this, very low profile weapon. Even a smaller profile Scout like Lethe Noblesse http://imgur.com/iy4V8HD is visuallu closer to MIDA than this. It starts thick and tapers closer towards the muzzle, which is easily the lowest profile aspect of the gun. With closer inspection, http://imgur.com/qnmaFw0, this weapon only really has two distinct areas size wise. The thick body and narrower but still fairly thick barrel. Also many scouts (if not all) are very jagged so to speak, with sharp angles and protrusions. This weapon is extremely sleek. If it is just a new Scout body, it is unlike anything we've ever seen before. So what do you think? Is it a Scout Rifle or something new? What new weapon type do you want to see introduced into RoI?
