So, I was thinking about Taniks, and how odd he is.
Why does he have a Ketch? (I assume he 'repossessed' it from another house, but maybe not)
He has no house. But doesn't he seem to fit right into the House of Exile? Even better yet, he seems like the perfect fit to be their Kell.
What was he trying to do on the Moon? Wasn't he stealing... something from the Hive? What was he stealing?
So, he works for a contract as a mercenary. That means the Fallen have currency, right? If we had paid him enough, would he have worked for us? Would he have worked with the Cabal?
This guy just seems like such an anomaly in the rest of the game. Hopefully we'll uncover a bit more about him in Rise of Iron.
Taniks was hired by Skolas to perform a raid on the Hive, therefore he was provided a Wolf Ketch and equipment, along with a strike force.
I don't think the Fallen have currency, he's probably being paid with Ether. Lots of it.
But, as said earlier, Taniks doesn't only work for payment. Taniks fights to also train himself, and he's good. Who do you think broke the Archon from the Prison for the House of Winter? Taniks.
It's also known that Taniks was trying to become a cyborg, his arms have all been replaced with prosthetics and if I'm not mistaken he also has something in his face, can't remember what it was.
