-blam!- You And Your Legion! // Bracheous Beranteus // 6:57 PM // Bloodwrath Halls, Outskirts of Imperium Camp
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An eerie silence filled the Bloodwrath's hallways as Bracheous swiftly moved through the vessel. Even any of the other chapters could tell he was immensely furious based off of how he carried himself while moving, not even a Tyranid would even try to get close to this figure of hatred. His heavy footsteps echoed off the fleshy walls of the living ship, whick seemed to eye the often collected and calm Astares while he walked. The Crimson Scar had thoughts running throughout his head, stemming back to a conversation with an Ultramarine from earlier that dday, where the name "Breyven" was mentioned and is said to have been looking for Bracheous.
His past was coming to haunt him, even onboard the Bloodwrath and in the Warp. He believed Brevyen to be a dead man, like the rest of his chapter so long ago. But he learned the truth after escaping a Khornite arena of the Chaos forces, by interrogating a Khornite and threatening to free every last fighter in the arena. He told Bracheous of how his chapter was now a traitors chapter, and how any loyalists of the Imperium were executed, of how his Chapter Master was swift in betraying the Emperor, that spineless little bitch.
And so when he heard the name Bracheous shouted angrily from behind him, the Loyal Crimson Scar stopped dead in his tracks, and he tightened his cold grip on his hammer.
"Bracheous Beranteus, last of the loyal Crimson Scars, I command you to halt!" The voice spoke with such noise that no man could miss his voice, which would be heard for miles through the hallways of the colossal ship. Bracheous spun around in his tracks just then, as he brought his hammer to his right shoulder while the pole went to his left ankle. The man who faced him wore the armour of the Crimson Scars, but with no helmet, his brown skin matching the brown eyes that looked intently to Bracheous. "Brother, Khorne has deemed you worthy to fall, and it will be by my chainswords."
When Brevyen activated either of his massive Chainswords, dried blood and rust from said blood spun around the blades with a deafening roar from the weapons. Nevertheless though, Bracheous and Breyven both managed to speak over the sounds of the blades spinning furiously. "Blood for the Blood God," Breyvan shouted into the air as he rushed forwards to Bracheous, which was met by the loyal Astares shouting his own bloodcurdling cry. "For the Khan of Khans!" He shouted as he raised the hammer onto his right shoulder, and the pole for his colossal weapon was out in front of him.
The hammer of Bracheous was swung downwards to the head of his enemy, but the blow was intercepted by Brevyen's left chainsword, as the sound of both weapons colliding sent out a scream that would curdle the blood of all who heard. Brevyen brought the sword in his right hand up to the chestplate of Bracheous, which was in turn intercepted by the bottom of his hammer, which seemed to be highly resistant against the pair of swords that cut into it, He even managed to push his weapon towards Brevyen's throat in an attempt to trap the man against a nearby wall, but Bracheous was swiftly kicked in the inner thighs.
Bracheous ignored the pain of the hit against his armoured thighs, but Brevyen decided to drag his weapon to the side and drag it across Bracheous' armour. Thoughts of anger flooded through both men's heads as they continued their combat for hours, before Bracheous finally got a hit on the chestplate of the Khorne follower that gave it a sizable dent. The Loyal Astares hit the Khornite in the left knee which broke his leg, allowing Bracheous to slam his hammer down on the head of Breyven. He believed the Khornite to be a dead man, but in truth he was simply unconscious and suffering some major brain damage.
And so Bracheous walked far from the scene of the fight with his armour of scratches and smaller dents. He strolled through the alleys with great haste in attempt to flee and forget, really. Or find a capable fighter, because where one Marine goes, his chapter typically follows. That rule applies to the Traitor Legions as well, it seems.
