VoG and CE gear did that too

True, but it was only for that particular raid or PoE. Bungie changed gears and gave the weapons in Kings Fall the Cocoon perk to maximize DPS. I don't think they are too crazy about the idea of raid set gear giving perks in the raid because it limits variety. Isn't that why we lost our elemental primaries in the first place? Not entirely true. The VoG Gauntlets(or was it Helmet?) made it so you had the possibility of making an orb of light when you killed a Vex with a precision shot or melee. The Crota gear also could drop with a Hive variation of those or spawn an orb when killing a Hive with a grenade. The CE weapons were also good when fighting Hive anywhere and had interesting perks. The PoE gear was just a disappointment.

Edited by Pookie: 8/8/2016 12:39:37 PMYou're right. The orb creation when killing certain enemy types ended up being useful outside the raid, but not if you played alone. It was still meant for raiding, which couldn't be done alone (or so Bungie thought LoL). Who cares how many orbs I could create...if I was a fire team of one? 😢

Honestly, I didn't notice the orb creation when playing alone since I was too busy blowing things up with Fatebringer.

Yep. I was a VoC for life kind of guy. Oh, and the Found Verdict was amazing. The first raid had the best weapons. But going back on topic I think the armor sets should have PVE bonuses only, except for Crucible and Trials. They are PVP branded gear, and should have PVP bonuses. Nothing too overpowering. I'd match it to certain Exotic perks, like always on radar for primaries or instant health Regen on precision kills. Something already available on an exotic weapon or armor.

That might be a little much. Extra rep for factions, extra damage in PvE, or a little more super energy in PvP might be better without being too overwhelming.
