A Flame in the Dark
Anri sprinted out of her apartment that night, terrified of something. For an entire day, her body had been covered in fire. She felt like she was burning up inside. Her eyes had gone from light green to dark maroon. And when thinking about close friends, like Vio, Yuria, Sketch, and Kross, a sword would occasionally form in her hand. Coiled, 6 feet long, and always on fire.
She ran towards the training grounds. The place she usually went to forget about things. Maybe...maybe she would be able to calm down...with just one good fight.

*Erika walks up to Anri, noticing that she's not quite herself* Hello ma'am
-
Anri simply looks at her. Cinders ride off of her body. "...H-hey."
-
You okay? That looks a little painful. *She motions to the Cinders*
-
"Y-Yeah...look, I need...a fight. With someone..." Theres slight pain in Anri's voice.
-
Well, I'm available. *She draws a purple cutlass with a black line wrapped around it. The blade emits a purple haze*
-
"O-okay..." The aura of heat around her picks up as she draws Luck, her straight sword, and her shield.
-
Would you take the first move? *She backs up, readying her blade*
-
Anri becomes silent, assuming a defensive stance.
-
*Erika waits for her to attack*
-
She doesn't attack at all. Heck...she doesn't even move.
-
*Erika begins to circle her* Good luck
-
Suddenly,Anri lunges at Erika, swinging her straight sword viciously. Something she wouldn't usually do.
-
*Erika parries with her cutlass and kicks at your side*
-
Anri simply raises her shield, so Erika's foot basically hits pure metal. It's enough to somewhat knock her back.
-
*She recoils and lunges at Anri*
-
Jumping to Erika's side, Anri swipes at her opponent's ribs.
-
*She jumps back, barely missing*
-
Anri begins circling Erika. The aura of heat picks up.
-
*She jumps at Anri, slashing at her*

The Training Grounds were typically sparsely populated in the nights due to the average fighter not being around the Dojo during the times they slept, although one man did walk the grounds in the pitch blackness of the evening, as was a routine thing for him. The man who walked seemed to have a full suit of armour on his body, with the exception being his left arm, which was a prosthetic of steel and ceramic, with the blue insignia of the Cobalt Phoenix residing on the blackened limb. He had a long duster on his body as well which concealed most of the armour from behind, but the head remains uncovered from neck to eyes, as the brown cowboy hat he bore didn't exactly cover much up. The man carried a pair of swords at either of his hips, which looked to be The Dancer's weaponry, while a pair of revolvers of unknown origin sat behind the blades. In his hands was a single assault rifle, an M4A1 Carbine with a foregrip and holographic sight to it. The figure took a brief glance to Anri as she went to the area, the green of his visor recognizing her as non-hostile.
-
She simply stared at the figure, emotionless. Cold, almost. Anri began to stand still, cinders rising from her body and armor. There was a certain aura of heat surrounding her.
-
Both the prosthetic limb and the armour had plating of ceramic atop the steel that was beneath, so the heat was negated by the armour, but more susceptible to cold or electricity, if stricken in the right locations. The figure had been seen as hostile by the man in the armour, so the visor turned red as he raised the assault rifle to her.
-
She simply sighs, shaking her head. Considering the range between them, she was at a major disadvantage. Raising up her shield, she began running towards the figure. If she was shot in the leg, the steel would somewhat protect her. It would still hurt like hell, but Anri might be able to keep running.
-
JT never kept any actual 5.56 bullets in the firearms magazine, so he had an onslaught of rubber bullets in the weapon, which he proceeded to fire at Anri's knees. His accuracy wasn't bad, but could be better.

Edited by Weeaboo Of War: 8/9/2016 6:16:05 AMStill sprinting but getting hit, Anri practically ignored them, although the rubber rounds both dented her armor and weakened it still. Shield still raised, she was getting closer to JT.
