I'm pretty sure the game -blam!-s you sometimes when you're doing well. I basically mercied theses 2 dude in doubles last night then the next game a total noob with a .06 K/D is basicall 1 shotting me with a blue scout rifle, I hit him 6 times in the head with a MIDA (I watched the footage back after) and he basically 1 shots me with a blue scout. I'm so sure the game reduces the damage you do to players sometimes and incrased the damage you do to them!

I ran into this same exact thing tonight! I'm not über awesome at all. I go 1.5 to 2.0 in most games. Out of nowhere I get two tapped by a 103+ player with a blue non upgraded scout. It got really bad and I ended up carrying the team being on top with(18/7) or something like that. Granted Destiny is my first ever FPS doing PVP but in the last 3ish months the level of damage you take and level you output is VERY inconsistent.
