I don't find it to be that inconsistent. The times I go negative is a direct outcome of joining late when the enemies have supers and heavies. Super/heavy kills can rinse and repeat a coouple of times before I even have a chance to scout the map and see what my team mates are doing or where to go. The latter is the main reason I really hate JiPs because when you're in a game from start - winning or losing - you get a feeling of how the match is played and you're able to adjust to that with a lot of time left on the clock. When you join late you're just dropped in the middle of the battle - with no clue of what's going on - and there's hardly any adjustment period. So by the time you find your bearings you don't have time to make up for those 3 in a row super deaths you just had. Hence, they really need to turn off stats for JiP. JiP's are rendering stats completely moot and if you're a solo player like myself - who's forced to JiP a lot - it really leaves a mark. Or even better, allow us to turn off JiP'ing. I'd personally rather play three people down - because people on my team decided to quit or DC'ed - than having to JiP 50 % or so of my matches.
