I have filed a false advertising complaint against Bungie care of Activision.
Activision said to contact Bungie.
I'm just following protocol by posting this in the forum, as per Activision recommendation.
They have informed me that Bungie has no customer support number.
Please review my complaint and contact me.
Thank you.

Not to beat a dead horse but like many below have said, BBB is a rating company - it works by using consumer opinion to influence a companies practices. You're peeing in the wind my friend.
-
Just a PSA for people who are not aware: The BBB is simply a rating service sort of like metacritic. That is LITERALLY all it is. Companies pay to be rated by the BBB and allow the BBB to give them grades and then mediate between customer complaints and the company. Why do companies do this? Because they know sheeple, dumbass customers believe that the BBB can actually do something as if they are some arm of the government. Somehow customers have it in their heads that black helicopters are going to swarm X company and their facilities and "crack down" or something. So companies willingly join the BBB so they can get rated and hopefully get an A+ rating so that they can say "We're rated A+ by the BBB" and they know customers will eat that shit up like it means something. If you feel the need to make a BBB complaint, go for it, but be calm about it and know what it actually is. All I can tell you is anytime I have had to deal with a BBB customer that is shitting themselves in their complaint, it fast becomes sent around the office for a good laugh lol. BBB kooks are the best workday comedy fodder. Best of all most BBB complaints are ones that could be solved if the customer A) contacted d the company first or B) didn't have some conspiracy that the company was out to get them when they did call or C) and this is the big one; accept that the customer is not always right and there is a strong chance that YOU, the customer, didn't understand something or screwed up on your end.

After reading this post something became very clear to me. NOT a lot of people understand what it means to file a complaint to the BBB. It isn't a law suit........... It's more like a slap on the wrist. http://www.bbb.org/losangelessiliconvalley/business-reviews/video-games-wholesale-and-manufacturers/activision-blizzard-in-santa-monica-ca-13075134 That is activision's/blizzard's BBB link. As you can see they have 6 Negative reviews, with 462 complaints closed(aka dismissed) in the past 3 years. Their ranking is still A+. If you actually take the time and read through some of those complaints, you can see that activision has been more than fair to people that have had problems with their games.... This dude is going to get a nice letter explaining to him that he has no ground to stand on, and his complaint will be closed. My expertise? I run a small business linked to BBB, with an A+ rating and have handle WORSE complaints created by some of the most manipulative people I've ever had the pleasure to deal with.

How did so many Bungie White Knights congregate here? Do you think if you defend them hard enough you'll get a gold star emblem? This is really a post specifically aimed at a Bungie employee to address. I'm replying to most of you out of courtesy.
-
So what exactly did you not get that you wanted to get?
-
You do realize that BBB is basically just a reporting agency. I worked with a guy aka the owner and he said plainly to a customer. "Go ahead and report me. We don't subscribe to that as a service so there is no business record to tarnish and nothing that can be revolked. Good luck with that waste of your time."
-
How about get a life instead.
-
@GoFund Thank you for your help.
-
You have no grounds for it. They didn't falsely advertise anything
-
Can you show me a writen statement where bungie says those exotics will be in ttk? Youtube isn't a valid source. As items in video games and moves change before the final product is released.
-
Oy vey

Hahaha.

Edited by metdevil678: 8/11/2016 4:50:55 AMFrivolous lawsuit inbound. You realise by agreeing to the EULA you allow Bungie to change the game's code at will, right? The only way that False Advertising would've counted in this case is if they actively used those items as a promotional incentive and they were never available in the first place. Imagine if Iron Gjallarhorn wasn't given to those who pre-ordered. That would be false advertising. Unfortunately, even if that did happen, you agreeing to the EULA by playing the game at all trumps any of your claims. Source: I've been a lawyer for 42 years.
Ok, I'm a boiler operator... And I'm in my 20's...

Not that I don't believe you, because why wouldn't Activision lie to me, but this post is for a Bungie employee to address, not a community member. This problem was also brought up to Activision in regards to Bungie's lack of customer service/support. Thank you for trying help.
Activision threw you to the sharks bro. They sent you here so that we could laugh at you.

80 days of game play and you played last week. Good luck with that.

no, Catrodsan is right. the Help forums are not for this stuff. Also, may I ask what was False Advertising?
