So...I stumbled across a chrome extension called the Destiny Item Manager. This thing is awesome! It allows you to get a real time view of every weapon, armor piece, shader, sparrow, etc.. across all three of your characters and the vault. It shows what you currently have equipped and what is not equipped. Here is where it gets really good. I can take a weapon from my warlock and equip it straight to my titan with the click of a button. No transferring to the vault then pulling to the character. One click and I am done. It gets even better. You can create custom load outs and use them and it moves the items where they need to be and equips them! This extension is amazing and needs to be known!
P.S. Make sure you log into the bungie website before you open the extension or it gets stuck on a loading screen :)
TL;DR: Great new chrome extension that lets you move items between characters faster...and even create and use custom loadouts!
Found this on Reddit, thought I'd share with you guys! It's amazing.

Update:
Kotaku have reviewed the app.
It's using Bungie's API.
For those of you that don't know what that means, there's nothing this can do that the official Companion app can't. What it's doing is the exact same as the companion app except it's providing a much, much better interface for it.
Noone has ever lost weapons or armour using the app, it's actually completely impossible to do so, because Bungie controls what data it can/can't use. For the same reason it's not possible to duplicate items, or delete them, as the API/Companion app doesn't let you.
The programmer has this to say on the matter -
“Let me just say that over the past five months, I’ve probably moved more gear through DIM than anyone else in the process of building this app. I have never lost an item. DIM can’t do anything that the Bungie.net website or the official companion app can’t do—most importantly dismantling items. There is currently no possible way to do that outside of the game itself.”
Even Bungie employees use it.
We’ve heard from individuals that work at Bungie, and they tell us that they use DIM and really enjoy it.
Third party app. User beware. If something goes wrong, you're up shit creek. Then everyone will point and laugh.
