As usual the iron banner is a joke. Connections are shockingly unstable across multiple players in every match, whatever the lobby. Stormcaller lightning flying all over the map, and still killing you!! people not taking any damage, blah blah blah...
SURELY, if the iron banner is consistently this bad EVERY time, it shouldn't be hard for Bungie to actually realise what the problem is that's causing it !!!!!!!!!!!! Really!
Im sorry but what does it take for the money grabbers to actually invest back in their games stability and BUY DEDICATED FRICKIN' SERVERS!!!!!!! Ahh!

I love Iron Banner and I literally only play that for the week, but this week just feels really off and not very enjoyable. I'm constantly thrown into matches in progress at the point that everyone else has their supers or heavy, had a match against an invisible player, and seem to only get babooned when I'm doing decent. I'm only a casual player and don't understand what really factors into matchmaking, but it could definitely be better because I had a match recently that started 3v6 (me and two randoms vs two fireteams of 4 and 2). I love Destiny and I hope some good changes come with ROI

Agreed. All time low for Destiny and Bungie this Iron Banner week. I am fearing that my favorite game is in some serious jeopardy. I never thought that not picking up ROI next month would ever cross my mind.

Totally agree. I am on Virgin Media in the UK, with up to 200mbps fibre. So above average connection for UK. However Iron Banner is one massive lag session. 3 years of playing Iron banner, hoping that at some point Bungie would get it right. I have come to the conclusion that it is very shoddy net code by Bungie. Give us the option to choose UK or European servers. I don't want to play a game where there is rubberbanding, or I am unable to pickup ammo. No other game I own has this level of lag. It is simply not good enough. I get one good game in every 15 games. Iron Banner and to a degree crucible need fixing. Stop ignoring the problem, and fobbing us off with minor tweaks. Or is the problem so embedded in the code, that we will need to wait for Destiny 2 for a fix???? Simply not good enough....

If you really think about it bungie doesn't give 2 shits about it anymore they're more worried about rise of iron and players on Xbox 1. If I'm not mistaken this is the last 1 anyways so I'm sure they don't care what 360 players say. If they did they would put more effort in the 360 version of Destiny instead of rise of iron. Hell they put more effort into halo than Destiny

Played banner for the first time in months (I took a huge break) and I found none of those issues. Shotguns were reduced (universal remote seems popular unfortunately) and I had fun. Furthermore i only saw once or twice a red bar and they didn't last for long. Maybe it's your connection?

I've had only 1 outlandishly laggy game out of at least 15 matches this time around so far but I assume there are many factors that come into play. In terms of p2p based matchmaking in the iron banner event this week, I've noticed a lot less red bars and laggy scenarios.. I guess everybody experiences it differently. For the most part, I'm relatively happy with how things have been on my end. I have been noticing a lot more one sided matches though.. I have been paired with 1 or 2 players against a team of 6 more often lately..(3v6 for entire game) Sometimes I'm heartbroken and know our team will most certainly lose but at the same time, I don't want to quit mid game or else it makes it that much more frustrating for those who are on my team. Hopefully I'll see less one-sided matches in the future :)
