I have found this to be a atrocious practice since Microsoft started it with CoD.
Activision, Bungie and PSN have taken it to a whole new level.
Utterly bullshit.

I'm not in on the cod fandom so I am not familiar with what happened. I'll look into it, but maybe adding it in the discussion would maybe add a comparison for more insight?
