I could care less about storyline. I played every halo and couldn't tell you anything about the story. Hell on destiny i can't remember the names of bosses or guns or maps or anything. I just like to shoot shit amd have a good time. I also hate cut scenes. If i wanted to watch a movie i would.

I enjoy cutscenes, but I agree otherwise. I dont even know what happened really in Halo 5 and loved it.
I enjoy cutscenes, but I agree otherwise. I dont even know what happened really in Halo 5 and loved it.
I don't mean to alarm you, but there is something seriously wrong with you if you enjoyed the Halo 5 campaign... Halo 5 was hot, sweaty garbage. It took all the worst parts of Halo 2 and cranked them up to 11. And the worst part? I'll still play Halo 6, because I have a compulsive need to know how the horrible story ends, so I can't even punish 343 for making such a horrible game.

I never played halo before Halo 5 so I had nothing to compare it to. Lovely logic you got there...something must be wrong with me for enjoying it. It's called an opinion, not a mental illness lol
I never played halo before Halo 5 so I had nothing to compare it to. Lovely logic you got there...something must be wrong with me for enjoying it. It's called an opinion, not a mental illness lol
Even if you had no Halo game to compare it to (and why are you playing the Halo 5 campaign without playing the other games? The story barely makes sense in the context of the rest of the series, I can't imagine how incoherent it would be without playing the other games), it would still be a bad story with poor gameplay. I could probably rant for 10-15 minutes straight about why Halo 5's campaign is straight up garbage, assuming I hadn't deliberately forgotten half of it already. Some things aren't worth remembering.
The multiplayer was pretty good, even if I never play it. At least there's that.
I'm well aware of how taste is subjective, but you're acting like opinions can't or shouldn't be challenged (see also: MRA's/racists/Trump supporters...).

I played it because I wasn't sure what game to play when I first got an xbox one. I knew it was the fifth in the series but I didn't really care. I had fun but it was seriously short...my only real complaint. Why do I have to explain this though? I can't just mindlessly enjoy something? You don't like other opinions obviously so I'm gonna cut this conversation short. Insulting my intelligence is unnecessary and has NOTHING to do with my enjoyment of the game. Goodbye.

It depends on the opinion. If you had said, for example, "Pop-country is the greatest genre of music of all time," I would've cringed, but I wouldn't've said anything. Taste in music is incredibly subjective. Besides, we're on a video game forum, so it wouldn't've been relevant to talk about taste in music anyway. I just watched a YouTube montage that had, in my opinion, an absolutely terrible metal song, but I'm not going to bad mouth the creator for his taste in music. Back on topic, you're the only person I know of who actually enjoyed Halo 5's story. Also, I'm not aware of any time I insulted your intelligence. I only said, in a nutshell, opinions can and sometimes should be challenged, and I gave examples of opinions I would personally challenge. But, whatever, dude. I'm glad you liked Halo 5, even if I can't figure out why. I regret wasting $60 on it, considering how much I hated the story and how little time I put into the multiplayer. Should've waited for the inevitable "Games with Gold" download... I probably came on a little strong, for that I apologize, but I have strong negative feelings towards Halo 5, especially considering my love for the rest of the series (even 4, which makes me a minority around here). So, it baffles me how someone could enjoy the game. It's like if you told me Superman 64 was your favorite game...

I could care less as well. A lot less, because I love the story behind destiny and think it's great.
-
Thats cool man. Glad you enjoy it.
-
Dude, really? I respect your opinion, but it's a VERY unpopular one.
-
Lol i got a couple people i play with that are all about the storyline. They know every single detail and have their own opinions on what amd why and when and blah blah blah. When they start that shit in party chat i mute them. Lol

Then dump your console

? Because he wants to play a game and not read a story ? That makes no sense. I could care less about game story lines, but my kid won't shut up about it so I get my fill, maybe that's why I don't care. Perhaps I would not have eaten all those ghosts in Pac-Man if I had read the book and knew why they died. Oh wait, there was no book it was a video game. I have no problem with people loving the story or not caring one way or the other, I am somewhere in the middle.
-
Why? Cuz i don't care about the storyline? I still like killing shit. I just dont care about the back story. Getting loot from killing a boss doesn't make me feel any better if i know everything about the dude.

Please tell me this is a joke...

I don't think it is. It may not be the majority, but some players are just here to play. I like a good story/lore myself...and without it this game may not be as popular, but Destiny's hasn't been the most compelling so far (understandably so).
