I have never understood why there is alot of in depth information and stories in the grimoire cards but not in the main story quests??? Good post, thanks for the link to the article

  • Imagine landing in tower for the first time and the speaker tells you the entire backstory in a multi-hour cinematic then on Venus the stranger has time to explain to you a lot of what's going on in a hour and a half long clip.

  • Exactly. Not just that though. Boot up game for first time. If you hover over a class, 2 hours to go over their history. Another hour for each subclass You decide on one. 5 hours later you see the ghost looking for you 3 hours of back story on ghosts and old Russia later you're revived. You see the fallen, 3 hours later you're allowed to move. You pick up the kvohstov and are greeted with another hour of back story on that gun alone. After each new fallen you see (dreg, vandal, captain, archon) you get an hour long explanation of them then after meeting the last one before getting onto the ship you need to get fixed there's 3+ hours on each fallen house (and an hour on the Arcadia class jumpship) you get to the tower, 3 and a half hours of information on the history of the city you finally land. Each person there plays and hour long back story upon interacting with them. After 24 hours of cutscenes you now finally have access to the second mission of the game (or first I guess) Tl;dr This game has so much f**king back story I'm glad it isn't in the game. I'd rather be able to play the game then hear the story
