But dude, no wifi for gaming. EVER. Powerline adaptors come 2nd after an ethernet cable an a hole in the floor :) Ethernet allows you to be 100m away. Powerline allow you to be a house away.

When you talk ethernet, would my router have to be hooked up to the wall via ethernet cord to give me ethernet? Like, if i just hook up the outlet to an ethernet cord in my basement would I get better results? I don't know much about tech like that, I just have become very wifi oriented through fiddling around with it at home. I just know my router sucks balls.
