Accelerated Coils Was a let down for me it ended up not changing the gun enough for me to use it.
Video that has all information in this post in video form. https://youtu.be/R99wWesjPc0
I know some people are not really into youtube so I am going to do my best to transcribe the video.
Charge time:
On all fusion rifles Accelerated Coils decreases the charge time by only 6% (hardly noticeable)
Damage changes:
When using Accelerated Coils fusion rifles do 6% less damage (impact) for most fusion rifles this doesn't change the amount of projectiles you have to land to kill someone in the crucible. It would require 1 additional shot if there was a max armor warlock with the Ram Exotic armor equipped.
But honestly the damage changes in the crucible are not all that big of a deal.
Plan C:
Plan Cs exotic perk allows you to draw charge and fire the fusion rifle extremely quickly. after some testing I found out that accelerated coils does not change this time at all, but it still reduces your damage by 6%. When using Plan Cs Exotic perk Accelerated coils turns into a negative perk.
Honestly I don't think Accelerated coils changes your gun enough to help you in PvE or PvE The Change in charge time is minuscule and the damage decrease is a negative. So I suggest not using Accelerated Coils at all on any fusion rifles.

I mean if you say it won't change the amount of bolts to kill, but will increase the charge rate (even if it is a small increase), what's the problem?

Nope ac is a great perk. I love it on my thesan.

Known as a "bait perk"
-
I just don't waste my time levelling up my gear any more...
-
It was a great perk in Y1 before they nerfed it start of Y2

Eh, I always go for range or stability. If you practice with any fusion, you can get easy kills. When I first got praetorians foil, went and used it in the crucible. Kicked ass. From then on, I always did that bounty in crucible.
