The update is the rise of iron content (2.4 update) the reason nothing has been said about it fixing the issue is because they are pushing that update regardless. They always have been.
Stop spreading speculation as fact.

The update for 2.4.0 (Rise of Iron) is what we will download after tomorrow's extended maintenance. Rise of Iron itself, won't be live until the 20th.
