A person steals, robs, burns a house, harms or murders another human being or beings. They are arrested, charged and processed, sent to court then either fined for a petty crime or sentenced to prison depending on the crime. If there are sentenced to prison, they are being "rehabilitated". Then when their time is up or if they didn't go to prison and pay off the fine. They are released into society again. Either they learned their lesson and they want to straighten up in the world or continue committing crimes. Cause after criminals or ex-criminals are released back into the world, their life is now even more difficult.. Nobody wants to hire an ex-con, they have to stay in the country, constantly monitored, they probably lost their old good job now how to settle for a crappy job. Everybody in the area that live within a radius of ex-cons are usually notified. After prison, life is even more difficult.. It's up to them on wether or not to take the difficult long way through life. Or Go back to breaking the law because they can't cope with life and take the easy way out by ruining other people's life to benefit themselves. Personal opinion on this subject Why does the government release these criminals back to the world? The justice system is fair, whether you believe it or not. The world isn't black & white, there's no good and evil. There are those people who get away with it and those who don't. A person is a person regardless of the crime, the justice system is fair and unbiased. If you have a problem with it.. Move to another country, otherwise you live in a country with its own set of laws and regulations. If a person takes a person's life the government "rehabilitates" them or put them away in a cell forever. However executing them depending on the country and crime, in this modern era the death penalty is no longer a viable option. The government does not play God, taking another person's life isn't their responsibility or duty. I got the idea from this post: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/212557114/0/0

 • If an ex-con decides to commit another felony to get back in prison, that's his fault for being immature (i.e. unable to look after himself) and not the justice system's. What the actual -blam!- is the point of this nonsense?
