Who we are
The dojo is an ENTRY LEVEL AND ONE OF THE ONLY PUBLIC RP THREADS.
RP is A way of interactive creative writing. Where you can go on adventures, have fights and generally have fun. Think of dungeons and dragons, but its horribly imbalanced since there is not an experience system or dice. Its great!
The Dojo loves different opinions, ideas and writing no matter if you are new to RP(roleplay) or extremely experienced. If you have an opinion to share about how to make the dojo better, contact one of the Sensei's that run the place (We would prefer this rather then excessive and unintelligent shit talking). Every work of writing is appreciated and accepted (shitposts…maybe not so much).
How we work(list of Admins included)
The dojo is run by a group of Sensei’s. These Sensei’s will make up most of the game changing decisions to benefit The Dojo. BUT Everyone's opinion matters a great deal. So the Sensei’s will make poll’s within the group for the members to vote and decide on big issues/ideas. Even then, the sensei’s will inform the group of changes and decisions made.
The list of sensei’s are as follows:
Inflatablepants/Pants(GONE ON HIATUS)
The God-Eater/Cob
Royalblade/Royal
Fresh Cazberry/Vio
nullCth/Cth
And the leader of the dojo union: Tubbs
OUR GOAL
At the dojo, we want to provide an amazing place for you to improve on your writing in a fun way. We love new faces, and will accept you as soon as you walk up to the door. We also love other RP threads that have really awesome stuff, and we want to invite them all here so we can have a hub world of sorts. Whether this is through an interdimensional portal, space ships or whatever. We want everyone we can to be a part of this and interact with everyone! This way, you can meet people you never would have met before. If you are a leader of an RP group and are interested in this, please contact me so we can discuss further! I like discussing stuff!

RULES
https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/212678270/0/0
How to PvP
Player VS Player Is what the dojo is known for. Basically, you can fight each others characters with your own, to see who’s the best or to simply make some kick ass action. Please follow all the rules while you fight, so you can make it as badass as possible.
In order to PvP you must be tested by a sensei, or a designated tester of the dojo. You can find out who is a tester by seeing "How we Work." Also, When you fight another player make sure that you always react to their move. The best way to do this is like this.
>Have a stanza dedicated to your reaction from you opponents last reply.
>Have a stanza dedicated to your attack.
If you completely block another opponents attack, its courteous to not attack them within the same reply.
This way, you’ll never go wrong.

World Creation(Getting started at the Dojo starts here)
This is the most important section for you RP experience. This is where you make your characters, their stories, where they could live. Also, this is where you can create a Faction to participate in the thread, as well as having access to writing for the group(The stories you write do not have to relate to the dojo at all)

The man's white shirt was rolled up in a ball next to him. It was blood stained. There was an open cut on his throat. There was another cut near his heart. His goldenrod Ghost lie broken next to him. Edited by BrandRobKus: 6/14/2017 3:32:04 PMThe Rigorous Training of Aidan and Jacob Dojo Simulation Room, 1331 Hours "Jacob, do you not know how to Block?" This frustrated cry came from the corner of the Simulation room, which is currently changed to look like a large forest, filled with strange beasts, such as These Demons. The origin of this call is Aidan, watching another figure slashing at the demons with Dual Blades. Sighing, he jumps back, closer to Aidan. "Is this really necessary master?" The man asks. "Absolutely, Jacob!" calls out Aidan. "I'm training you as Djorik would have. Now get back in there, you have the advantage!" Sighing, Jacob got back to fighting. One of the winged demons forms a dark disk, and hurls it at Jacob. Seeing this, he rolls under it, running for the demon. Unfortunately, the disk goes both ways. After going out about 50-60 feet from the demon, it rebounds as if it bounces off an invisible object, right for Jacob. It goes right under his arm, slashing at his ribs and his elbow. Aidan, seeing a problem, grabs his Stellar Heaven's Slammer and pulls Jacob out of the way, stabbing at the demon. It explodes into a cloud of hardlight matter, and the scenery begins to change into the white box it usually is. When it's completely safe, Aidan gets some gauze out of his pack and starts wrapping up Jacob's arm and chest. "Alright... Practice is over for the day, we'll continue tomorrow," he says as if nothing happened
open
"Oh, let me guess, one of those spacetime plankton robots attacked penumbra, the gothic feline ." The man was leaning against a wall in the dojo, with his hand on the side of his head...? It was difficult to focus on where his hand was. He was either insane or an antisocial telepathic. By the number of silver cylinders and spheres on his belt and the uzi that was causally slung on his back it was clear he wasn't messing around. And somehow it sounded like he wasn't correctly naming the things he was talking about. "What a massive difference. Anyway, what exactly is the problem, the league of self entitled zombies has things to do and people to show off to. She didn't exactly look like the most combat ready of people considering her dead ghoul or whatever it's called." The man looked rather agitated, and passers by looked at him with an expression of confusion and slight concern on their faces. The man seemed to notice this less than stellar appearance. "...And now you've made me look like an insane rambling idiot. Now, to clarify, no, I don't know, I don't think so, I frankly don't care." The man turned away from the wall, and almost walked into someone.
open
growing up getting older... Serenity couldn't believe it looking at her scrapbook she had made stocked with all kinds of her four kids. Most of the photos were old now because this scrapbook was created six years ago... She could hardly believe it all those years have past and her kids have grown much bigger as they were all now pretty five years old now. She could hear them outside playing with lizzie and her brother talug. She walks outside to join them sitting down on the grass watch all four them climbing on the tall giant man. He was chuckling as jura climbed up his back. She contently watch them. All four of them were definitely a lot taller all except little syrilth who was still pretty much the runt of the family. Sivath was the tallest of the four of them and he was still pretty shy but still energetic as hell just like his siblings. Serenity just sat there watching them playing happily. Chapter Thirty Five Cannon awoke to the conversation of two people. His hearing was impaired but it cleared as his eyes opened to the two individuals in front of him. There was Bella, the small 12 year old girl with the black curly hair. Then, there was the man who had helped Cannon before, Yuri. He crossed his arms as he spoke to Bella "Bella..." he began. "I told you. Your father is attacking the Grenwalds as we speak! Many will die if we do not get you to him to prove their innocence!" "I'm not going anywhere without Canny! I told you!" She rebuked. Mute's intro... A carrier ship hung above orbit, seemed normal. However, inside alarms blared, red lights flashed throughout the corridors. Gunfire was exchanged back and forth for what seemed endless. Mute was the one causing this, attempting to steal data from the ship. His plan was going well, but as he finished downloading files, an unexpected soldier had decided to foil Mute's plan. Once Mute shot, the entire ship had all soldiers after one man. "All hands on deck! This is a level 3 intrusion! Do not, I repeat, do not let him escape! This is not a drill!" The loud voice boomed over the intercoms. Mute was held up near the armory, taking cover to reload, he pops back up, taking out two soldiers with ease. He knew if he could easily steal a escape pod and get out, after fighting a few more guards, he took off. Using holograms to distract the enemies. "Sir! He's going for the escape pod." "Then put them on lockdown, if he leaves, we're all screwed. I'm not going to allow this to happen, at any cost." "I can't, he's jammed our systems, nothing will work." "Prepare the fighters for launch, we can track that pod. I want dropships with troops ready." The captain had no choice, the data Mute stole was too valuable to use. He spook in a booming voice as his second in command began to direct forces to certain areas. However, Mute was able to reach the pod. Quickly, he launched it, changing its trajectory if needed. Mute landed on the fields near the dojo gate. The door of the pod opened as Mute ran for any cover, fighter ships were right behind him and he was nowhere safe. The dropships landed as troops sprinted to stop Mute. A single sniper shot rang out, Mute attempted to return fire, but was hit before he could. Mute stood still, blood began to stain his armor. One of the soldiers spoke. "You have something that belongs to us, give up and you won't be shot!" Mute remained silent, there would be no way to take on the two fighter ships hovering above, along with the twenty, heavily armed soldiers with their weapons trained on him. The Highway to Hell Underworld, Unknown Time/Date The place was a literal hell. No, really, it was. Along it's burning shores, stained with blood, are countless demons, imps, and other unknown specimens combing the shore for something good to eat. They occasionally look up to the windows of a tower in the middle of the sulfuric lake, thinking they sense movement. Though, nothing seems to be inside, so they keep scanning the beach as a child would with a metal detector. However, there was something in that tower. Or more specifically, someone. The person in question is rather gaunt, and peaks at around 5'10". He is stained with ash and blood, covered in scratch marks from previous encounters. His face is covered with a coarse dark hair, however the beard looks slightly nicer than one who would neglect it. But the one thing that really makes him look abnormal is the pair of blazing crimson eyes, red as ever. He sits at his desk, finishing writing something on a pieces a paper, possibly a letter or a journal. When he finishes, he stands up, and looks behind him. To keep him from becoming insane he constantly formed shadow figures to keep him company. One of them is right behind the man as he turns, and nods when they look each other in the eye. "I'm ready to go," The man said with a hollow voice. "Will do, Sir Mortar," the Shadow said, nodding again as he opened the door to a rather thin bridge. Both of the figures left the building, standing at the foot of the bridge. The demons, noticing them, snarl and whine at them as they cross. The Final Mausoleum, Later, Still an Unknown Time Mortar and the Shadow walk up to the massive doors of the Final Mausoleum, Mortar somewhat horrified at the memories here. Sighing, he pushed open the doors, revealing a massive room, made of multiple floors, each filled with seemingly millions of figures, not quite transparent, and look rather normal, except for a white steam lightly piling off of them. He looks around for any familiar faces, one in particular as he pulls something out of his bag.
Open, but only if you have a dead character.
Especially hers.” From the pages of Cylus’ log. Dates and Locations have been changed for discretion. I didn’t realize that I was screaming until Vector kicked the back of my head. “Shutup!” he demanded as he rubbed his hands together. “It’s time to unveil the man behind the mask. The man that has caused me so much damn trouble! I have to give it to ya, it’s been fun to have this little rivalry. But all good things must come to an end..” he said with a grin. I struggled against the ropes, trying to get at him, but they were too tight. I only had one choice. To submit. When Vector watched as I settled down, he kneeled before me. “No more fight, huh? I’ve killed your friends, your family, and now your girl. You surely want to kill me, don’t you?” he said, grabbing me by the jaw and looking into my visor. He reached under my hood to the back of my neck and found the lock, switching it and unhinging my helmet. Removing it slowly, he stared into my eyes. “Impressive stuff you’ve got here. Some of my men claim to have shot you square in the head with no effect. How?” He asks, taking a closer look at the helmet. All I could do was chuckle. He had no idea that he had walked into my trap. I jerked my head forward as to let my hood cover it, and activated my failsafe. Little did Vector know, I literally carried a timebomb on my head. If any mission went South and it was the only choice, I carried enough explosives in my helmet to end it all, as well as take down anyone within the immediate vicinity. I shut my eyes and waited for detonation. … All I heard were the noises of the explosion and Vector’s deafening scream. In the chaos and confusion, I removed a concealed blade from the bottom of my boot and cut myself free, diving to Rachel’s body. Removing the bag from her head, I began sobbing as I saw the single gunshot wound in her temple. Clenching her hair in my fists, I held her body close, burying my face in her shoulders. And then I heard him. “KILL THAT SON OF A BITCH!” … That’s when I snapped. The blast didn’t kill Vector, but it was enough to mortally wound him. I looked up and saw him clutching the right side of his face, barking orders to his men as he rushed to his car. Coward. I didn’t know it at the time, but this was the first time my bloodlust ever consumed me. When Vector’s second in command stood behind me, aiming his gun at my head, I made my move. I spun around, catching him off guard and grabbing the barrel of his gun. Pulling it away from him, I turned his weapon on himself and delivered a single punch to his jaw. Feeling it shatter on contact, I still wasn’t satisfied. Holding the pistol in hand, I shot two rounds into his forehead, and then turned to his men surrounding me. In a blur, they had all fallen, and I dropped the gun from my hand. Vector had already escaped, so I stood there alone, surrounded by bodies. And at my feet was Rachel’s, the last person I had ever loved. And now Vector had taken her from me. He would pay. ... Cylus took a breath and stopped writing. He had written his portion for the day and was needed elsewhere. Standing up, he stretched and put his log on the back of his belt. Walking outside, he picked up the pace to meet his friend for drinks, and didn’t even see the person right in front of him until he had nearly knocked them over.
open
"The most merciful thing in the world... is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents." H.P. Lovecraft It was a cold and plush afternoon. The air was heavy and thick, almost malleable. The residents of Dojoville were either huddled up in their homes, sipping hot chocolate, or at the local tavern, being drunk as lords and all having a good time. Soon, however, a figure holding an oddly shaped case materialized far up the road leading to the great Dojo. A heavy coat engulfed the being and, ironically, seemed to waddle like a penguin. The walking coat opened the wooden door to the aforementioned tavern and awkwardly closed it behind him. Naturally, few people were distracted from their current action, but some laid eyes on the huddled figure. After standing still for a moment, the figure removed his coat and hung it on a nearby rack. The figure beneath the coat was nothing remarkable. It was an older man wearing a dirty grey suit and matching slacks. He wore small shoes that barely held any noise to them. He had a vertically long head, with large ears and eyes that were unevenly placed upon his face. His nose was curved and crumpled like a piece of discarded paper. A black stubble laid upon his chin, and a mat of wispy white hair barely seemed to stick to his head. His eyebrows were dark and narrow and seemed to hold copious amounts of expression within them. He was of a gaunt build with long, frail arms and identical legs. His shoulders were small and tucked. The man appeared nervous of his surroundings, and a certain queer aura of circumspection seemed to hold tight to his rough skin. The skinny man walked to the front of the tavern where a performance stage was held. Prudently, he approached the stage from the side. Happening upon a microphone, he tapped it with his course fingers to hold the patrons attention. He cleared his throat, but even when it was magnified he seemed to be reticent. "H-hello. My name is D-Dim Attenborough. I hail from L-London, England. I have c-come here tonight t-t-to show you one of my musical pieces I have been w-working on. I do hope you enjoy it." Dim provided his audience with an introverted smile and bent down to open his case. Inside it was a violin, polished to a shinning, stunning beauty. Grabbing the bow, the violinist began his tune. As soon as the music started, Dims eyes were closed shut.
Spooky's House of Jumpscares OST - Your Consenting Mind This is the song he plays. For atmosphere, I recommend playing it in the background as you read. He's only playing the violin, however. The piano is just an added touch to the mood. :)
The tune he played was fast and shrill. The constant increases and decreases in tone and pitch seemed to mesmerize the audience immediately. Then... then something terrible happened. As the tone and pitch increased and Dim began to become less and less autonomous and became more and more... controlled... the audience turned on itself. People were scrambling for silverware, cutting and filleting one another with crude and dull weapons. Some threw chairs and broke bones. Some gouged each other's eyes out. It was a cataclysm. Even some were taking their own lives, ripping their ears off and ripping open their stomachs. A mother stomped on her daughters head until it oozed with pus and grey matter. They began to eat each other... But soon... they were all dead. Dim opened his eyes... and weeped. He repeated the phrases "oh dear", "oh goodness", and "what have I done" for hours upon end. It was not until morning the news of the slaughter reached the Dojo. Dim remained in a fetal position on the stage, spotless of blood. His violins wooden frame had cracked and shattered. He still held the bow in his hand. He still was crying and babbling like a madman...
open!
He donned the robes of an alchemist, and the ring of a scholar–items that many would recognize from a famous village in the Gem Islands–not too far from Dojoville, actually. His roaming began to speed into sprints as he searched for people on the streets at such a late hour, until the alchemist bumped into a man rounding a corner. Said man was about 5'11", and donned a black trench coat; his hair was jet black, and his eyes were green. On his back was a large, 4'6" greatsword; on his belt was a holstered handgun, and equipped in his right hand was a rifle. They were all custom-built, their models unknown–even their materials, undeterminable. Meanwhile, his left arm was cybernetic; a gunmetal gray color. As the alchemist bumped into the man, Vance, he stopped him. "What's wrong?" It's absolutely massive–60 feet tall, I tell you–and our attacks on it have been futile. It's been destroying our land, our livelihood... I've come to ask the Dojo for aid, with promise of reward. I also come with knowledge of how specifically beat him–all you would really need to do is follow my instruction!" There was pleading in his eyes, voice, and expression. "Please–for you warriors it should be easy loot and money, but it would save countless lives on the Gem Islands!" At this point, his voice was loud enough for any bystander to hear clearly.
Open–this will lead to a boss fight, obviously. And there will be loot and money.
Edited by ookshmook: 6/4/2017 12:31:19 PMYou know you've come to the wrong cafe when the owner starts firing lightning spears at you when you ask for a muffin. Cravis staggered back holding a cylinder that projected a blue shield like a viking of old, with the notable exemption of literally everything apart from the shield's shape. Needless to say, he looked rather exasperated. "All I want is something to eat!" the owner towered over him, seeming to be an orc or some such thing from some such strange universe. "To buy ze vood you must prove yourzelf ztrong!" Cravis narrowly dodged a tactical side-spear. "How about I just pay for it?!" The owner attacked more fiercely. "You prove yourzelf ztrong, zen you pay for ze vood!" Cravis started to have second thoughts eating in this particular establishment. "Can I just not buy any food?" The owner stopped, utterly confounded; he hadn't thought of that alternative. "Vine." Cravis sighed, deactivated his shield, and walked out of the shop at the spaceport.
open
"From Another Universe and 2 Years Before..." (Above Tatakai...) Peacefulness. Alliance. Geth. Whatever else. That was the way to describe the atmosphere around the planet of Tatakai. Calm. Peaceful. For once. Well, that was until something strange happened...in the form of a wormhole. If anyone had seen Star Trek before, it almost seemed like something was transwarping out of there...only it was coming IN. Immediately, a flying escape pod fired out of the atmosphere, hurdling itself to Tatakai, like a streaming rocket. ------------------------------------ (Over the Dojo...) If anyone were to look up at the sky, they would've seen what seemed like a shooting star in the sky...except it wasn't. It was an escape pod crashing just outside of the Dojo. If anyone were to be a Guardian, they would instantly recognize some kind of Eliksni language on the side of the pod. Question was: what was in there?
Open! Trying my hand at a unique Guardian character.
In A Library, With Head Full of Dreams Dojo Archives, 13:00 Kaliana was in the Dojo Archives. Her helmet was on, as she never took it off out of fear of the hatred she would receive. She sat down, reading about the flora and fauna of the Dojo. She was dreaming of a desert in full bloom. Coldplay was playing through the speakers of her helmet. Until, someone interrupted her studies.
Open.
Chapter Thirty Five Cain rose slowly from the ground. He held his stomachs wounds with his pale hand and blood ran through his fingers and to the ground. He grasped his blade, and used it to help him stand. He held it upright, but as soon as he stood up he collapsed to his knees. His right hand remained gripped on the grip of the blade as his left covered his wounds. His face was scarred, his ashen hair was stained red and looked burnt on its edges but his piercing blue eyes still stood out like a light in the darkness. He looked up at Tubbs, his mouth open to take in his deep breaths. "T-that..." Cain began. "Was...it was truly...fantastic." He complimented Tubbs weakly.
For Tubbs
Chapter Thirty Four Ragnarok was only a few miles away now. They saw the dark clouds that formed ahead and lightning struck at the island. Arianna saw the familiar castle atop its mountain in the centre of the island and the massive stone city that took up the entire east side of the isle. She knew the docks were on that side, but the place would be infested if anything here was similar to the last two islands. Then, she spotted a river. It made its way down the centre of the island from what Ari saw meaning it would come from behind the mountain.
For Orn
Relief from a waking nightmare Foot of the Dojo staircase 9:30 PM It was a quiet night. The remaining residents of Dojoville slept through the long night and through their long dreams. The only sound was that of wind on the trees, grass, and whistling through the debris of a hundred broken buildings. It was peaceful. And so it was, for the lone figure who silently awoke from his nightmare. He looked around, and blinked his cold grey eyes a few times. It was as if he couldn't believe what he saw. For when he got up from the old wheelchair he seemed bound too, he let out a sigh of the utmost relief. Yet...it was tinged with sadness. The figure quickly disregarded this, and walked forward a few paces. The sound of his gait was both maddening and harmonious. A soft pat punctuated with a single loud RAP of wood on stone. The reason for his odd gait was that his right leg ended in a peg, the prosthetic beginning under his right knee. His garb was odd. Flowing everyday clothes had been transformed into sturdy armor, a fabric that could resist some damage and keep its bearer alive. A cape flowed over a vest and dress shirt, and long black pants. The garb was old, and complimented the age of its wearer. The man had short grey hair that sprouted out from under a small hat, and his wrinkled and scarred hands were somewhat covered by thin grey gloves/wraps. Upon his back were old weapons. What appeared to be a staff situated next to a blunderbuss was shown on his back, the staff having the ability to fold for easier storage. Complimenting the staff was a long curved blade with a handle that doubled as a latch to be attached to the long staff. The attitude of the man was odd, if not more so than his appearance. Every fiber of his being exuded an air of grateful, if not sad, relief. He seemed an old war hero, a man who had walked out of hell itself upon the shoulders of one who thought him worthy of such respite. Thus.....began the end for a long night, and the end to an old man's dream...
intro
