Will Microsoft Phase out the Xbox one, when the Scorpio releases?

I've a feeling the Xbox one won't be around for much longer, when the Xbox Scorpio releases. It doesn't make sense for Microsoft, to build such a powerful beast of a console, without phasing out the underpowered xb1. Xb1 will hold back Scorpio, if they go for parity, equal framerates. By this time next year, the xb1 would've been out four years. That's how long the original xbox lasted and before the Xb360 came out. The last gen was longer than usual, for a console life cycle. I can see a much shorter console life cycle in the future. Every four year for a new console is ok with me, was at least a year before we started getting current gen only games on the PS4. The days of long console cycles are behind us guys. I believe Microsoft, Sony are testing the waters with the mid-cycle console refresh, taking note of the conversion numbers. I'd give two years at max after the Scorpio releases, before Microsoft start bringing out exclusive games for the Scorpio. What do you think guys and is the Scorpio the end for Xbox one?

So for starters I think this "end of console generations" is just some PR buzz BS that's been thrown around before. Companies will say whatever is convenient to sell their present day product. Do you think Microsoft is never going to play the "Oh but this is the real next gen Xbox! You have to buy this!" Like come on people. Do I think they're going to phase the Xbox One out? Well that depends on what Scorpio is. I believe that Microsoft is going to be keeping a close eye on how confused consumers are with the plethora of PS4 models coming out. I can envision the scenario where the Scorpio and PS4 Pro supplant the current Xbox One and PS4 as the low price mass market model once the PS5 and whatever you want to call the future Xbox come around. Microsoft has two choices then: Go bold, dump the Xbox One name, and market this thing as a new Xbox that plays all of your Xbox One games. Or do they go the same route Sony is by naming the Scorpio something along the lines of the "Xbox One Elite" and promise all Xbox One games will play on both consoles. I think how the PS4 Pro is received will influence that decision somewhat.
