Because they couldn't have added it with them supporting past gen. Now they've dropped the 360 and PS3 there's a whole new door of possibilities now.

Saying they couldn't add a few settings because old gen wasn't capable of that is just not true. Especially since it doesn't add anything, it only lets you choose which of the existing options you want to play.

People will believe anything. According to these forums gaming was primitive before these current consoles were released.

They couldn't have private matches with newer graphics, larger maps, moving vehicles, moving skyboxes, and the intense amount of particles that happen when supers and other abilities are activated

If vehicles, particle effects and all that jazz really were too much for old gen then Crucible wouldn't have worked there all together.
