Over the last few months I have been in talks with a children's hospital in Kansas City (where I am from) about working together to create a new type of volunteering program. The idea behind it would be to bring together a community of volunteers that take time each day to play with various groups of children and young adults that may be in the hospital. Our world has changed so much. There would need to be background checks, party moderators and some rules in place for it to get by their legal departments and work but I wanted to create this clan as a first step.
