I could easily see the exo stranger being a completely independent character, and very well may be. But we know exos used to be human and we have these human females involved in the research of the vary nature that gives the stranger her abilities. Could be coincidence, could on purpose. Either way, I won't be disappointed to be 100% wrong. Just a theory
