Do I seriously have to do this every time I just want to kill someone damnit
The hologram of the knightess fell for the thirtieth time, the coiled sword driven into its chest once again. It twitched then faded into particles. Dead. Nothing remaining but the flaming sword, the grip aged and burnt, the blade thick enough to be considered a blunt weapon, which was odd for its length of 5'7. It clattered to the ground, the one that it had found itself in completely gone.
Until of course, Anri retrieved her weapon.
A suit of old, ash covered armor protecting her body from harm, the red and ash grey fabric was surprisingly dirty, covered in dried blood. The armor's platings were modified, the metal gauntlets and leggings being made of steel, ceramic, and kevlar. The helmet she wore, a rather intimidating thing, really, was made of these materials as well, except one would replace kevlar with carbon plating. A jagged crown was practically the back of the helm, filled with ash and dirt. Anri raised up her sword, studying the coiled shape of the blade that she wielded into the battle. She was within the arena, waiting for a...true opponent, to be exact.

*Mortar smiles as he pulls up his mask. Secretly he has been itching for a fight with Anri, an Unkindled verses a Lord of Cinder. He used to be on the Unkindled side, now he can finally feel what it's like to be the one higher up.* You know me so well. Who goes first. *He walks up to you, dragging the tip of his blade on the ground. Strange, when the tip drags across the ground green flames make a small line in the dart about five feet behind the blade, as if oil lay there*

Edited by Orn: 9/15/2016 7:43:47 PMAnri had thought about a battle of this magnitude for quite a while as well. Except now, she was the supposed "Lord of Hollows", due to her...condition. To her, it was just a regular fight. But to onlookers, it would be one of legend: Mortar, the last Lord of Cinder and previous war machine, VS Anri, the Lord of Hollows and the one who could bring Londor to its well-deserved glory. Holding out her sword silently, Anri raised it to where the molten tip was pointing at Mortar, beginning to slowly approach as she did so.
-
Alright, if you insist. Nice friendly fight to the death match. Take one. And... Action! *Right after saying this he immediately jumps into action, lunging at you, trying to knock you down by tackling you*
-
Instead of faltering, Anri immediately swung the sword in a horizontal fashion, attempting to literally bat Mortar away with the blade of the weapon.
-
*You succeed and Mortar jumps back, then adjusts himself and delivers a sharp jab to the jut*
-
Swinging horizontally once more, Anri applied much more force into the blow, although Mortar's jabbing attack hit her still. But he was going to take a hit as well, considering that Anri had attacked him fight after he went for the jab.
-
*He winces slightly as he backs up* You've been training a lot more, haven't you? *Where you were jabbed you can feel a burning pain as your torso is on fire*
-
Ignoring the pain oddly, the fire began burning Anri's red and grey clothing, though none of it actually suffered from the flames, unlike regular clothing. She swung her sword out again, circling Mortar. "You could say that."
-
Cool. *Around him three shadowy figures of himself form from the ground. All of them, including the real Mortar, lunge at you, Hoping to confuse you.*
-
As the shadow figures rise from the barren dirt, Anri raises the sword, which suddenly transforms in a flash of light into a staff. She holds it to her side as the Mortars lunge, and a transparent greatsword suddenly forms at the tip. She swings it horizontally at the attackers.
-
*The shadows dissipate but Mortar makes an almost success at jumping over the blade and kicking your face. The blade burns at his glove but he ignores it*
-
Reeling back, Anri literally flips away from Mortar, holding her staff out as it suddenly transforms into a 4'7 foot long curved blade.
-
Woah. *He quickly tries to knock it out of your hand with an iron ball, then waits for a reaction out of you*
-
Anri immediately cleaves it in half with the curved sword, the blade burning red as she sliced the iron ball into two separate pieces. Looking back at Mortar, she raised the weapon, ready to counter any reaction he made.
-
Hmm... Intriguing. *He begins to circle you once more, this time holding out his sword in front of him, leaving a trail of emerald green flames. He is trying to block you in*
-
"You could say that." Anri began to position herself right in front of Mortar, the curved sword still raised and burning. If Mortar did manage to trap her, she could withstand most of the flames with the armor she wore.
-
*Suddenly he jumps on you, trying to slash at your dominant arm. Without it you'd be a sitting duck*
-
Anri suddenly swiped at Mortar's sword, both blades colliding and sparking off of eachother. She jumped back away from the flames, raising her arms in a taunting manner. "Well?"
-
*As you raise your arms an iron ball slams into your gut, knocking you back about ten feet. The ball dissipates before it crushes you. Mortar stands where you stood* Do not be foolish, your opponent can attack at any time.
-
"Y-Yeah..." Slowly rising, Anri sighed as she raised the curved sword, the weapon transforming back to its sword form.
-
*He waits for you to get ready, then holds his sword in a defensive stance, backing up slightly*
-
*Sapphire walks in to the arena wearing her exo-suit. She cracks her knuckles and looks at Anri through two glowing yellow lenses.* So... If I kill you here are you gonna go mad?
-
Anri simply looked back silently, head pointed towards Sapphire as she turned her body around. She gripped the handle of her sword fairly tightly, yet in only one hand, her free hand waving freely. "Maybe I will. Assuming I don't kill you first."
-
Well, how about we don't kill eachother? We just go until one of us yields. Even with digital reconstruction, there still have to be consequences if you die.
-
"Fine by me." Raising her sword, Anri simply stared deeply at Sapphire, waiting.
