You are right, not from the alpha but . But from the very early after release.
The question is what would have made Destiny a richer experience for the community.
Sure PM will be a blast at the beginning , but so did team chat in PvP , but it will fade away and only YouTube and streamers will even care. Whilst other features will have a bigger impact in bringing new and old players in to Destiny.

Probably about the same time hard mode atheon dropped.

Old raids will come. But I would prefer them to work on new stuff. It's not like you can't play the old raids. As for match making for night fall and raids. Have you seen the jokers you get in strikes.
