We know that bungi liked darksolse and where playing a lot of datk souls 2 when making the game
Maybe they took an idea from darksoulses lore and didnt add people. Think about it, there was a colapse there cant posible be a full account of everything that ever happened because moste of that must have been destroyed. They also had verry little recording technology so they couldnt have exact records of the early city. Hopefully the exo stranger stays a mystery or they incorperate a dlc where she tells you. Like in dark souls Gwens firstborne.

We know who Gwyns first born is tho now. And souls lore is way more complicated then destinys. Bungie has always been pretty straight forward with their lore. So a extremely cryptic piece like the nameless King shouldn't be a thing. I think it's because destiny 2 will be based more on this story line as it felt rushed in year one

Well yeah but for a large portion of the game, no one knew who the first born was and even now its not exact. I was hoping that the stranger would remain a mystery like he did for so long. And hoping that they wouldnt put her in the lore

The dark souls community is a strange one. We love the games for the cryptic parts. It also got more popular because of its difficulty not its lore as most players don't remotely know what's going on lol. But that's my opinion on the subject. I Don't mean to try and be an ahole

Your not being an a hole, i was just saying its not too far off to asume that they would be super cryptic due to where they got some of their inspiration. But it would piss off most of the fans. I was one of the people who got hooked on darksouls 1 for the lore, and thats why i think it would be awsome to see similar things in destiny. But it would piss the comunity off. I mean they did when it first released by having a deep cryptic storry hidden in the lore but a confusing sub par ingame storry. But i understand your stand point

Not only for a large part of the game, the firstborn existed since Dark Souls 1, and was just revealed in 3!! Bungie could do that too.
