What is this Owl Sector stuff!?
Seriously, what....?!
Since when have owls ever been a thing? Is this another expansion, or maybe relevant to a mission?
Maybe I'm just high off my rocker and expect some underlying meaning because of all the Sombra stuff that's going on with OW, but I don't recognize anything here besides the emblem of the Vanguard.

Everyone thinks it's some hidden thing and running all over trying to figure it out on patrol, missions, and raids.... It's just a xp and rep buff before ROI launches. If that's not it, it's just something that is timelocked like the sleeper simulant and no time to explain.

6 RepliesWhat's happening is a plague is affecting Guardians who return from the Crucible. Now I can't say whether it's coming from slaying said guardians or being slain by them cause frankly, I don't know for sure, but I've got 2 different "plagues" on my Warlock and 1 "plague" on my Titan currently. The Owl Sector stuff you are seeing is a little thing called "BUNGIE IS HYPING RISE OF IRON". Seriously though, they're using this to hype up the expansion. The "plagues" being released are acting as a buff to all experience gained and all reputation gained. I'm being completely serious when I say that having 2 of them on one character gave me up to +150 rep to the crucible for a win, and the normal is around +30 rep, I think. I'd say dive into the crucible and grab the buffs on all your characters ASAP, as the buff will probably expire on September 20th, when Rise of Iron releases. THESE BUFFS ARE AWESOME AND ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS HAVE SOME FUN IN THE CRUCIBLE. **All of the stuff in ALL CAPS is basically the gist of it, the rest is just the full details.** Have Fun, Guardians.

Sure it want you to get infected by it, why wouldn't you? It is like an XP boost! But what if, after Rise of Iron activates, it ruins character progress, I'm staying the hell away.
