Just posted this on another post but.... Interestingly enough OWL Could also mean Orbital Weapons Lancet.. did a little hunting and found this site (http://www.technovelgy.com/ct/content.asp?Bnum=1583) for an article about it. The really interesting about this site is that it not only talks about Orbital bombardment, but it was also published by "Vangard" in 2007.. and we all know how Bungie loves 7's... does this have any relation... No clue, but interesting enough.... now that I think about it further.. weren't the warminds controlling Orbital weapon system during the collapse? The article mentions that the "Lancets" are "essentially guided steel telephone poles tipped with a chemical warhead. They're designed to fall from low Earth orbit and punch a hole in the ground, through several hundred feet of dirt, reinforced concrete and even steel. They then incinerate anything within the relatively small but very deep impact crater." this could be how the "infection" was spread to the initial guardians to potentially preemptively help out knowing SIVA is about to break out. Maybe Rasputin finally decided to get off his computerized ass and help us out rather then observe from the sidelines and and play music.

Those giant spindle shaped objects in several areas on Earth look like "lances". The ones with a bulbous end and a pointy end. I always thought they were Hive ships of some sort. You can see them on the Rusted Lands PvP map, for example. That post also has sidebars that reference Light, Titan and Jupiter. One of the links to the history of inventions makes several references to Oryx (from the story Oryx and Crake). Lots of stuff in there that makes me wonder but it would be a crap ton of work for Bungie to make such a detailed website with so many pages and external links. Good post.

Maybe it's just a random coincidence... but still suspect IMO. Doesn't change the content or messaging though... orbital weapons systems that are coming back online to help out with a pending threat after we help out a dormant warmind? We were told at some point that "Rasputin" was the best and he controlled the other warminds in the system, but if "Charlemagne" (the warmind on mars) had this information on the initial SIVA development in the dust palace, Rasputin would then have it also and potentially sensing the SIVA outbreak that is about to happen enacts some type of protocol to help out those who can make a difference (guardians). Good ARG so far but I am interested to see its endgame.
