It's not real. Seriously, try looking at the map and thinking about some of the places it's showing as highly populated. -
Serves me right for being facetious here. Map animation is arbitrary to emphasize the spread. Still dig the pre-launch hype.

If that's showing real-world infections it's doing it based off of server location, not physical location.
