Tried with friends in mayhem rumble when I was giving out my five to them. One of our guys joined with a character who had two strains. Usual method of passing it (we super them, they then get a precision kill on us) didn't work. Nothing worked. I really don't think you can get more. My hunter on my main account is stuck at two. I ran crucible match after crucible match with him. No dice.
Wonder if you need a freshly infected person to then infect those already infected? Maybe there is a window of infection? Like characters with the virus already are less likely to infect an already infected character than someone who is freshly infected?
Wondering because when I was helping infect people, I switched to a new character and after a friend with all five had killed me and my sister with their super, she killed him and got all five... So since she was just standing around, I killed her, and got all five from her.
But then in a later match, we were infecting a new friend and I killed him with my super and then he killed my sister while waiting for me, and didn't get infected.
Actually, I guess maybe being killed by the same super in the first instance made it possible for us to contract the virus off each other, but in the second instance only I had killed our friend with my super so he could only get it off me?
