Unable to Join Husband

Alright so this has been an ongoing issue for my husband and I since the update prior to the Rise of Iron. I actually stopped playing Destiny for a while because it would take us at least thirty minutes to finally end up in the same fireteam. Now that Rise of Iron is here we want to play together and many of us know what that means dont We? Unable to join targeted player. Okay, lets try resetting. Doesnt work. How about going offline and back on again? Nope. How about resetting our network while hard resetting? That used to work but nothing gold can last forever. Oh, I know let's get on the forums and try all those methods! CHECK! Guess What? None of them worked and even though we have two consoles only one is playing destiny right now thanks to all the Error codes like WEASEL and CANARY. It also doesn't help that Bungie is avoiding this issue altogether. No matter the fact that people are blowing up about the LAN issue in the networking feed. Or how about the fact that the LAN issue was at one point a top trending topic. Key word WAS......Bungie just decided it wasn't important enough to be a top trending topic anymore or even one worth addressing at that. We don't have any issues connecting with one another in any other game. We have also never had a game single handedly destroy our network with a weasel error code either. But that's all hush hush right? Instead the issue was blamed on the players and their bad connection. I love this game but I hate how it's managed. All I want is to play Destiny with my husband and I can't do that because apparently it's not a big deal. So what if a portion of your loyal community can't connect right? Screw em right? We got their money already, why fix this networking issue? That's the message I am receiving from Bungie right now. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to play the game. I hope this issue will be addressed with the justice the community deserves soon.

  • do you have port forwarding on your network?? i had this issue back in year 2, i thought it was the update. thing was on COD, NHL 16 and battlefield i couldnt play with my wife or my kid in the same house. we found out, Thanks to my brother a computer engineer, he looked at all of our settings and as well as network options. when we updated our internet the port forwarding/ sharing had been turned off. its so people dont go over bandwith. Look at your network settings on your laptop. PS: if its for local lan, that is a destiny issue
