I managed to get the new Dead Orbit shotty with max range today, but the last perk it has is Full Auto.
First I thought I shouldn't unlock it since it screws up the pellet spread, but because I have a Matador with the same range and impact stats I decided to unlock it. I'm not really losing anything here.
So about the Full Auto. Has anyone tested it after the recent buff? I haven't had time to test it yet in PvP, but it feels great in PvE!
If anyone has any opinions on Full Auto shotguns post patch, I'd gladly read them!
EDIT: Added a link to a short test video. The penalty doesn't seem that bad to me. What do you guys think?

So what you're saying is...
Buff Swords?
Filthy shotgunses. Keep your nasssty perks. We likes it hardscoped and wrrrrriggling.

One last bump. I tried it today in Crucible and I even managed to get a couple nice feeds with it and some of them I could have not done without the Full Auto. The rate of fire increase really helps in some cases. Taking out a hammer with two quick shotty blasts felt extremely good! Love this weapon!

They patched it. There's not a spread penalty anymore. It's all in your head

Edited by ManUJ3zP: 10/1/2016 12:39:06 PMI remember back in very early year 1 when a shotgun could roll with Shot Package and Full Auto. Then Bungie came and patched it.

I made a short test video of the spread penalty. The link is in the OP!

To me, a full auto shotgun in PVP is like the move false swipe in Pokémon. In this case, each shot fired does less damage than the last, and no matter how much you hit them with it, you can't kill them.

The full-auto has a sort of special relationship with shotguns. With other guns it just means you can hold down r1, but with shotguns it does increase the rof. Imo its great for pve but its whatever in pvp. But if you like it then by all means keep using it

Giving this a bump or two.

FA halves the range.....

Full Auto is good. Burns through ammo though if you can't nail the kill.
-
What is the range and stability?

I'm pretty sure full auto doesn't affect the spread any more. Not sure tho
