So me and some randoms I meet via LFG are going through the raid pretty fast, like everyone knows what there doing at all parts. So we get to the Aksis encounter part 2 and we get him down to 25% and our next damage phase comes up when suddenly one of our guys keeps saying "Just 5 more minutes" over and over again.
Eventually we get to empowerment when we hear a women scream "THEY ARE YOUR CHILDREN!!!" and the guy tries to argue for time but eventually leaves during our final damage phase, which we not only breezed through but also took Aksis down.
I can only imagine how bad the guy is gonna feel when he realizes just less 5 minutes after he left we beat Aksis. Heck if he just left his character alone he could have still gotten his rewards except....
Its gets worse though, after we got our loot, the host was taking us to orbit and another guy in our raid kept saying "Wait! I need to get the chest" and the host was like "You already got the chest" and proceeded to take us to Orbit. While we were going to Orbit the host realized that we didn't pick up the last monitor chest for the exotic pulse rifle quest (I already got mine so I didn't really care). All that work we did for the Monitors just went down the drain and the people who didn't get the chest were reasonably pissed off.
I was just sitting back laughing at everything that happened, most unfortunate raid group I've ever been apart off.
TLDR: Guy leaves a couple minutes before Aksis is defeated, Host forgets about the last monitor chest.
