[i] The man raises one eyebrow, his face completely blank.[/i]
"You talk a big game for a guy in a suit and tie. You either aren't an actual psychiatrist, or-"
[i] He stopped, eyeing Charlie up and down.[/i]
"No, I'll just leave it at that. I take it you're just some other guy looking for entertainment. It's amazing someone hasn't killed you yet."

"Nah, I have a license." [i]A license to practice psychology appears in front of you.[/i]

[i] The man waves a hand through the air, and a small identification card appears between his fingers. It stated that his name was John Smith, and he was a licensed orthodontist in the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma.[/i] "Forgive me if I don't exactly trust what's on paper. Now, unless you plan on doing your supposed job, I'll be off."

"I'd rather stand." [i] He says plainly, folding his arms across his chest. [/i]

"I hate you. First question, where were you born? Was it some edgy place like hell? Or maybe a lab?"

"No, in a hospital. To a loving mother and father, in the heart of New York City." [i] He smirked, looking down at Charlie from his 6'2" height.[/i] "I'm not the son of Satan, or half demon, or any of the actual edgy shit anyone here is."

[i]Should be noted that Charlie is 6'3", but is sitting.[/i] "Oh, maybe I judged you too quickly. Can you describe your childhood and parents?"

"Simple. Played baseball as a kid, did average in school. Dad worked hard for his family and mom was a typical mom."

"How are your relationships with them now?"

"They died. Dad of a car crash, mom of a heart attack." [i] He says with a shrug. He'd come to terms with it long ago.[/i]

"Do you have any friends? How would you describe your relationships with them?"

"A couple. They're generic friends. Simple and plain in every sense of the word." [i] He says, putting his hands in his jeans pockets.[/i]

"Alright, well since you're a long way from NYC I'm guessing you've made friends here. Do you?"

"I know a couple of people here, yeah."

"Nothing significant? You have nothing to talk about?"

"What can I say? I'm a pretty uninteresting person." [i] He says with a shrug.[/i]

"Okay, can you describe what you think of the dojo...in detail?"

"It's an uninteresting place, filled with uninteresting people, where the best thing is the Starbucks and their chocolate chip frappes." [i] He says with a smirk. [/i]

[i]Charlie smirks back.[/i] "You're having more fun than most males who come into this room, I'll give you that."

"That could be taken a lot of ways Charlie." [i] He said, and it occurred to him that he'd never told the shadowy man his name. [/i]

"Lets just say this desk has had a lot more than just papers spread across it. What's your name again?"

"Uh huh." [i] He says, an eyebrow raised.[/i] "Call me Ronin. It's what everyone else does."

"Well Ronin, want a drink?"

"Pass. I don't trust anything served by sketchy, not really psychiatrist." [i] He says with an àsshole smirk.[/i]

[i]He sighs[/i] "I am really a psychiatrist whether or not you believe me is not my problem."
