Another suggestion (although better drop rate would be ideal)...
Maybe have a Vendor (perhaps the Speaker) sell them for Legendary Marks. Maybe somewhere between 75 (armor) and 150 (weapon) marks - I'd suggest 100.
Alternatively, let Xur sell them for Strange Coins although you might want to limit this to (perhaps) 3 per week or 1 per character per week.

No, not more buying stuff that should drop as part of game progress.

Why not? I've got more strange coins than ever and nothing to do with them. While we're at it, let's sell exotic shards again too.
