Dojoville
The sodden feet lay barefoot against the hard tile of the stone road, the rain soaking the skin thoroughly.
She walked with no real goal, headed in no particular direction, exhaustion burdening her like her hunger... But that was no concern now.
Her large umbrella covered her from the torrent's onslaught, and the long black veil that hung from the sides hid her from view.
And just as it seemed that she would fall from exhaustion, she found slight relief in a bench. It had no cover, but she didn't mind. It was minor solace in a maelstrom.
Her chest heaved slightly, her long breaths accompanied by the distant crack of thunder, and a spiderweb of lightning... So far from home. She wasn't sure where she was... All she knew is that she needed to keep going. A refugee...
//
Time seemed to pass, as she had seemingly drifted off into sleep, and as she awoke she realized that the storm had given way to a clear sky. Stars sparkled above and she let out a sigh of relief.
With a click, she twisted her umbrella handle the veil around her raising up and vanishing inside the contraption, the umbrella folding away a moment later.
And there sat the newest member of the dojo... A strikingly beautiful woman, of strange origin. She had light blue, almost pale skin like a ghost, dotted with black. And along her legs and arms were glowing lines, turquoise in hue. Then there was her hair... Oh her hair... Sunset red, like the falling leaves in autumn. The hair perfectly accompanied her eyes that shimmered like powerful fires, warm and kind. Her face was delicate and gentle, radiating life and joy. She wore a long black dress with a hood, which her hair was neatly folded into, as was a custom of her exotic species. Lastly, there was her crest, hung right above her forehead... Held in place by a metal rod, which also held her hair in place. Signaling her status in her society... Royalty... The rarest blossom of her kind.

But such radiance was diminished by her tired eyes and aching feet. She never wore shoes... So the hard trail had hurt them severely... But the rain had eased away the trial of blood.
It was clear she was no fighter, her exposing attire and soft features making it very apparent... But she was no push over. For such a gentle disposition, she held a kind of strength, a raw passion...
She was lost, she was tired... And maybe even a little hungry... But she didn't dare move. Yet, despite her exhaustion, she felt sleep elude her. She knew she needed some help.
And so she sat, quiet on the bench, her hands folded neatly over her exposed stomach, watching the fireflies dance and parade as they celebrated the new fresh night... And the luminous maze of stars above.
Open! She could use some info for just a talk.
"Hm...Chloe, huh? You...don't look you human? What type of...species are you?" She asks, out of curiosity.
-
"Elunove..." She remarked quietly, looking down at her hand where bright green lines formed, trailing up her arm.
-
*Kara seems to be fascinated at Chloe and this species, as she takes her arm and looks at it.* "Elunove...."
-
The arm alights, the lines dancing across her pale blue skin, some even crawling up Kara's own arm, a deep sense of relief coming with them. "Yes... T-That is right..."
-
"Your touch is...soft...you kinda remind me...of the people I used to know back home." She replied, giving a warm smile.
-
"W-Where is it you come from?" She questions, returning the smile, of only partly. She was a much more meek person than most... And she often didn't express outwards like those around her.
-
*Out from the shadows comes Vorim'Tairn, his brown catlike eyes glowing a little in the darkness as he looked at the woman. He stopped and stared at her, speechless. His long, fluffy tail swished side to side as he stared at the woman, his mouth hanging open.* I-I... I... Um... *He closed his eyes, seeming to gather his wits. He didn't seem like most men, he wasn't confident at all. He trembled slightly as he stood there, seemingly surrounded in an aura of awkwardness.* H-Hello ma'am... W-What a-are you doing o-out here? Are y-you cold? *He stuttered as he spoke. He had a very strange, unidentifiable accent. Where some human accents are known to have people roll their R's as they spoke, he seemed to roll his L's and his Y's.*
-
She raised an eyebrow to the strange man, having never seen anything so... Different. She wasn't one to talk with her bizarre skin and eyes... But even then. "I-I'm just resting..." She said quietly, her lyrical voice shaky from her exhaustion.
-
O-Okay... Are you s-sure? I don't m-mean to b-be r-rude but y-you look a l-little lost... *He looks at her curiously.* W-What are you? You aren't h-human... I-I've never seen anyone l-like you b-before... *He seems to eye the spot next to her like he wants to sit down but it seems like he can't work up the courage to ask. He messes with his own fingers, feeling the claws and the pads on them.*
-
She looks down at one of her hands, stretching out the fingers as blue lines dance across the tips before fading away. She looks back up at the new night time companion and blushes slightly. "U-Uh... W-Well... We call o-ourselves Elune." She didn't usually talk about her appearance or her past... But he didn't know... Besides, she wanted to be courteous.
-
W-Well... I'm a Sph-Sphirinian... One o-of three o-on this planet... What was th-that thing you d-did with your hand? I c-can do something s-similar... *He takes a marble out of his pocket and holds his hand out, the marble resting on the pad in the middle of his hand. His eyes glow blue and a blue energy seems to come from his hand and surround the marble. He finds the bravery to sit next to her, the marble staying in place in the air as a trail of blue energy leads from his hand to the marble.* See? *He smiles at her a little.*
-
"I can't q-quite do that." She looked down at her hands once more, the lines returning, taking on various shapes and patterns before vanishing once again. "Just s-something everyone has..." By everyone, she meant everyone in her select race... Taking about them in third person was bizarre.
-
Well, I-I'm the only o-one who can do th-this... I like to c-carry things t-to mess with when I-I get bored... *The marble floats over to her silently, stopping about a foot above her hand.* Here... T-Take it.
-
She clasped it gently in her hand, scanning it over with her bright orange eyes. "T-Thank you." She said simply, her quiet voice trailing off the lines slithered around the marble before disappearing.
-
You're welcome! *He was silent for a couple minutes before he spoke back up again.* Your eyes... They're, um... B-Beautiful... *He seemed more uncomfortable and nervous, waiting for her reply with a mixture of both eagerness and fear.*
-
Edited by Chesh I Guess: 10/4/2016 11:33:23 PMHer cheeks flushed red with embarrassment, not sure how to respond... She began to stammer. "T-Thank y-you...!" She brought her hands close together to her chest, her head bowed as her eyes trailed off to the ground.
-
*He hears her thank him but sees her change in body language and assumes that somehow he might have insulted her.* Oh, n-no... Did I s-say s-something bad? *His ears droop down a little as he looks her up and down with his catlike brown eyes.*
-
"N-No...! I'm just... N-Not very good w-with compliments." She hesitated for a moment before returning her eyes to his gaze, her cheeks still somewhat red.
-
O-Okay... Then w-was your r-reaction good? Sorry, I-I'm not good w-with body language. *He smiles at her for a second before looking back down.*
-
"I was just nervous..." She replied, her voice beginning to turn more steady as she rested. The cold and exhaustion eventually fading away to be replaced by her usual gentle and kind disposition.

Edited by Skatch142: 10/4/2016 11:56:18 PMO-Okay... Well, d-don't worry... I'm probably t-twice as n-nervous... *He looks back up at her, grinning happily without realizing.* So... W-What's your name? S-Sorry I should h-have asked e-earlier...
-
"Chloephina... Chloe for short." She replied, giving him a meek smile, something that was filled with warmth despite her current state.
-
*He repeats it a couple of times under his breath as if trying to familiarize himself with the sounds.* Th-That's a beautiful name... I-I'm Vorim'Tairn...
-
"I'll call you Vorim..." She remarked, knowing she'd forget otherwise. She had a simple mind after all. "It's very nice to meet you..." She bowed her head in respect, a sign of equality and peace.
-
*Vorim bowed back, grinning the whole time.* "So... W-What brings you here?" *Oddly, he seems to start stuttering less and starts seeming more comfortable with her.*
