Prologue
Tatakai, 0000 hours
Saturday, October 31st
"All Hallow's Eve"
Midnight, the day of Halloween. Most people say Halloween is a childish activity, knocking on doors for candy. Rather, it is a festival, to celebrate the marking of the transition between life and death; and a wonderful day for witchcraft and necromancy.
As the minute hand struck the twelve, it was finally All Hallow's Eve. A loud moaning resonated throughout the entirety of the land, through the lush grasses and mountains of Ollimand, echoing in the Byoki Desert, audible over the winds in the Ko Rudo Mountains, yet it was loudest at the Tatakoi Plains, home of Tatakai's worst wars, and second to loudest at Graveyard Island, home to cemeteries and bodies. From the soil, wisps of what appeared to be smoke arose, hissing loudly. A tension filled the air as these wisps entered rotting corpses of dead humans and animals, who were long buried underground. The soil cracked at Graveyard Island, hundreds of thousands of hands sticking up above the dirt, and the dead began to rise. At the Tatakoi Plains, the wisps took residence in animals, making them rabid and more wild than they were.
Sitting on a boat, speeding towards Graveyard Island, was Alyssa. Her light brown ponytail blew wildly in the wind, her gauntlet-covered left fingers tapping quickly on her left thigh, fingering a violin piece. Her prosthetic arm gripped the steering wheel on the speedboat, a smile on her thin lips. It was finally All Hallow's Eve, the day she'd been studying for for years, ever since she first started reading up on necromancy and other, darker stuff. She wanted to see if what happened on this famed day was true; and indeed, it was.
Jumping off the boat after arriving at the graveyard-clustered island, her feet hit the sand with a thump. Alyssa was dressed in rather different attire than usual; a tight, black shirt, and black combat pants in addition to black combat boots. A three foot long and inch and a half wide, steel blade was sheathed at her left, her New Magnesium prosthetic recently polished.
Alyssa roamed further into the woods of Graveyard Island, which was eerily silent. It was dark, the light of the stars long forgotten. Alyssa constantly looked over her shoulder, on the guard. Suddenly, a low growling was heard from behind Alyssa, and as she spun, she was met with a rotting, old, masculine corpse, holding a massive axe. The corpse stared at Alyssa with empty eye sockets, lifting the axe with ease, and swinging downwards on her head. Alyssa quickly drew her steel sword with her prosthetic arm, holding the blade above her head. The axe collided with the steel blade with a loud clang, and Alyssa strained to keep her arms steady. She moved her sword downwards with the axe's downward momentum, and redirected it to Alyssa's bottom right, the blade of the axe striking the dirt. Alyssa quickly thrusted with the sword into the corpse's abdomen, executing a perfect parry. The blade impaled clean through the corpse's spine, and it silently stumbled back. However, even with its spine shattered, the corpse raised its head, continuing to stare at Alyssa. She screamed, turning around to run; before she was met with ten more dead, rotting corpses. Gritting her teeth, Alyssa ran, back to the shore, and onto her speedboat. She floored the acceleration pedal, speeding back off to the dojo.
She arrived hours later, dawn just over the horizon, the clear sky slightly tinted with pink. Alyssa ran through the dojo woods, arriving at the gates, panting and out of breath. She had to share what she'd just experienced, for it meant that the prophecy in that old, excuse for a book was true.

Edited by ALIAS-F4LS: 10/9/2016 7:10:52 PMAma walks out of the lab seeming a bit tired. She fell asleep in her lab again and as always was preparing to head over to the local shop for a tea run. She then notices the expression on Alyssa's face. Her curiosity gets the best of her. "Hey.... I know it's nosey of me but what's going on? Look a bit spooked."

I still don't have the technique down." He looks up to see the happy Alyssa which causes him to jump up and lean against a light post, an attempt at being "cool." "Hey, what are you so happy about?"
What kind of lewts?
Athena, who was standing outside the gate, sees you. She walks over. "Christ... You look like you've just seen a ghost."
-
Alyssa smiled up at Athena. "Cause I died!" She called out, waving her arms frantically as she ran up to the woman. Her bright, green eyes were full of excitement, and it was understandable, considering what she had just witnessed. Alyssa stopped two feet away from Athena, intertwining her prosthetic fingers and flesh ones together, sweat drenching her hair and forehead. Her simple, steel sword was drenched in the gross blood of the corpse, a blackish, gooey substance. Alyssa wiped the tar like stuff off of the blade impatiently with the silver gauntlet on her left hand. "Guess what?" She said, literally bouncing with excitement. "I just saw unrested souls posses the bodies buried at Graveyard Island! And, if you take a look at this...." Wiping the gauntlet clean on her combat pants, Alyssa pulled a book from a drawstring bag on her back. The cover was old and worn, the book itself ancient, titled "Magics Most Malicious, Volume 16". She flipped through to the middle of the massive tome, to page 1266. Quoting, she read aloud: "The day All Hallow's Eve Falls on the sixth day of the week A great evil shall arise And only the strong shall claim their prize. From the ground, the fallen shall wake Their corpses neither weak nor fake To execute the Witch's will, They shall climb from Goldner's Hill. The seas shall turn red All the wildlife has fled And after all Seven have finally bled The sun shall rise again." After finishing, Alyssa shivered, grinning at Athena. "It's Saturday, October 31st, or Halloween, also called All Hallow's Eve. The fallen have awaken; I saw zombies! They didn't fall after being struck, meaning they're not weak.... Dunno 'bout the rest, though. This is like, hundreds of years old, miss!"

"Riiiiiggghhht... You sure you didn't hit your head or something?"

Alyssa frowned slightly, gesturing towards the dojo. "You this this is far-fetched? Have you seen the people at this place?" Alyssa chuckled, shaking her head.
-
"I've seen crazy shit many times. But you sound like a insane babbler right now."
-
"I... okay...." Alyssa blushed, frowning as she looked away. It was clear that she was a rather sensitive person, easily influenced by others. "Sorry to waste your time...." She sighed, beginning to walk away.
-
Charlie saw Alyssa run by so he decided to follow. "Miss Alyssa, why are you running?"
-
Alyssa turned at Charlie's voice, eyes widening in happiness; finally, a familiar face! She approached him, a bounce in her step. "Well, it's cause it's so exciting! I was just at Graveyard Island—actually, easier if I read this aloud...." Alyssa reached behind her back into a drawstring bag, pulling out a massive tome. It was old, yellowed and worn, tears in the pages, and titled "Magics Most Malicious, Volume 16". Alyssa flipped through to the middle, page 1266, smiling at Charlie as she quoted: "The day All Hallow's Eve Falls on the sixth day of the week A great evil shall arise And only the strong shall claim their prize. From the ground, the fallen shall wake Their corpses neither weak nor fake To execute the Witch's will, They shall climb from Goldner's Hill. After finishing, Alyssa shivered, grinning at Charlie. "It's Saturday, October 31st, or Halloween, also called All Hallow's Eve. The fallen have awaken; I saw zombies! They didn't fall after being struck, meaning they're not weak.... Dunno 'bout the rest, though. This is like, hundreds of years old, Charlie!"
-
Charlie couldn't help smiling and getting excited by simply seeing the exstatic Alyssa. "That sounds great! Sign me up, Miss Alyssa. I feel like this could be a great experience."
-
"Alright, great! There'll need to be multiple teams—I've been researching for this all my life—I'll notify you as to which team you'll be placed!"
What kind of lewt are we talkin' aboot?
Charlie nods. "Please do! Can't wait to meet my team. Do you think one of them will be a redhead?"
https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/214753206/0/0/1
Then another voice came from a tree, along with the noise of metal being scraped and sharpened. And it's quite irritating. ???: "Zombies, huh?"

"Yeah, zombies...." Alyssa turned her head towards the irritating noise. "Who're you?" She called out.

Edited by Tamedfrog: 10/6/2016 11:43:57 PM"Oh, you know..." A bit of rustling of the trees, and a man jumped down. He seemed to be one of those hunters, judging from his garb. He held a meathook from it's string, along with a serrated Bowie knife he was sharpening. The dried blood on him showed that he was not to be messed with. Some of the blood even was splattered across the bandanna he was wearing on his head and sunglasses. Dangerously swinging his meathook around, he inches close to the two of them. He had a... Strange attitude about him. ???: "Zombies... Heh. Never heard that word in a while." He had a malicious smile as he muttered the word.
