[b]She looked at the food quietly quietly, not wanting to be rude. But she didn't really know what she was about to consume. Cola was drinkable... That wasn't bad. And the Gecko looked... Dead... It was large and... Large. She couldn't really use adjectives to describe the thing she was looking at.[/b]

"Dammit did I forget to cut it again... Second time this week." [b]I pull a Bowie knife from my coat, and start sawing at the gecko's golden hide. Gecko hides get really tough when heated up, so I had to use a knife. Normally I'd just tear it apart, but golden geckos were tougher than most. Tasted way better, though. I cut a piece of it off, then set in on the plate.[/b] "There. Much better."

[b]She looked at it closely, trying to peer into the back of her mind to what this food thing looked like. Well... Food was food.[/b] [b]Yet, despite her hunger, she only took small bites, nibbles even. Old habit that refuses to die.[/b] [b]Of course she nodded her thanks, her face beaming with gratitude.[/b]

[b]I could tell that she was thankful for it, her face read as much. Though, I did think it was weird that she was taking small nibbles, even though she was obviously very hungry. At this point, I was thoroughly confused about her in general, really. It was then I saw one of them on the horizon. I very quickly put my helmet on, and switched on the sneak sight. I pulled out my Anti-Material rifle, and took aim. I was about to squeeze the trigger. One shot, and he's dead. I then thought about what would happen to the lady beside me if I started a fight. She has no armor. No visible weapons. She'd be torn to shreds. I sigh as I put my rifle back on my back, and take my helmet back off.[/b]

She wasn't a fighter, but she had protection...[/b]

[b]I noticed her motion as well, is Rangers have to be trained to keep an eye on everything, after all. If she had any protection, it probably wasn't enough to stop a hail of .50 MG explosive rounds. Normally I'd shoot, but I'd rather not have another innocent under my "People I've Gotten Killed" list. Not again. Never again. I turn back over to her.[/b] "Sorry about that. It's one of the Legion. I just can't help but want to pop their heads like water balloons when they get near. Wouldn't want to get you killed."

Most even have a use."[/i] [b]In a way, they traded off, feeding each other generally useless, but interesting info. Chloe could appreciate the simple talk, and she could appreciate the fact that he had an impressive arsenal. She didn't carry much... But she knew a weapon when she saw one.[/b]
