I was a big fan when they were in their prime and dominating the charts. Now that I'm older, the biggest surprise and letdown for me was realizing how crappy of a drummer Lars is. There's a bunch of videos out there that are all about how he messes up constantly and doesn't even remember their songs and apparently he's always been a problem for them when recording. Even while recording for the Guitar Hero game, he had to constantly ask the guys working on the game how [i]his[/i] songs went. That, and the documentary on them where Lars and Dave Mustane (I think I spelled it wrong, but you know who I mean) from Megadeath sat down to reconcile and both literally cried the entire time ruined the bad ass image from my childhood. Lol

Metallica kicked ass back in day I saw them with ozzy when cliff burton was alive. First 4 albums are legendary. Then they sold out became corporate whores and went down the sellout rabbit hole. Go listen to overkill. They prob best metal band around still. Unbelievable how they keep playing after 30 years.
