"I'm told that a lot," Zach muttered, and he knew that he must've seemed quite edgy in Cthulhu's eyes, but he honestly couldn't find it within himself to care; so what if people found him edgy? So what? It didn't matter to him at all. Not a bit.

Cthulhu chuckled. "You're a keeper. Wanna spar or something? I'm a little hurt already and I don't have my armor, but my armor is terrible anyway."
-
"Sparring sounds fine by me," Zach murmured, brushing himself off as he brandished his New Magnesium sword, examining Cthulhu over and making guesses at where his weak spots may be. In his opinion, the duel started the moment somebody suggested it, not when they began to clash blades.
-
Cthulhu had been trying to analyze Zach this whole time, but he was too distracted and didn't figure out anything. He kept his cool as he made a six inch thick ring of white matter spin around both of his wrists. "This'll be fun, right? You know what that is? Fun?"
-
"No, I dropped out of school and don't know the definition of "fun"," He said sarcastically, cautiously watching the rings of white matter, wondering if it could be cut.
-
Charlie laughed. "Good one. Now, attack!" Cthulhu fakes jumping at Zach, but instead only takes a step forward.
-
The moment Cthulhu said "attack", Zach suddenly darted forward, taking only four steps to accelerate to max speed, twenty three miles an hour, showing the agility of somebody who had been training vigorously all their life. Zach's right leg was soon just beside Cthulhu's left leg as Zach aimed a horizontal slash with his sword, the blade whistling quickly yet powerfully through the air towards Cthulhu's abdomen.
-
Cthulhu quickly moves one of the rings and deflects the attack just in time for it to only cut his shirt. The white matter on his other hand forms a bar in front of Zach's head for him to run into.
-
Zach ducked underneath the, turned, and lunged below it, aiming a stab at Cthulhu's back with his straight sword.
-
White matter quickly got in the way and stopped the blade from puncturing, but Cthulhu went tumbling forward from the force of the attack before standing back up. "Okay, okay. I have to say, you're pretty damn fast."
-
Zach ignored the compliment; he never understood why people spoke in the middle of a duel. Relentlessly, he rushed forward again, lifting his blade as he brought it down vertically, a straight and powerful slash towards Cthulhu's left shoulder.
-
Cthulhu raised both of his arms up and with them the white matter. The sword clashed with the strange material and caused Cthulhu to fall to one knee. During all of this Cthulhu had yet to shut up. "You're not much of a talker are ya?"
-
"No, not really," Zach said as he raised his sword again, slashing in a downwards arc until the tip of the blade was just touching Cthulhu's head in his kneeling position. That was usually where a sword duel would end, however he guessed that the other man had some white matter magic up his sleeve, and prepared accordingly.
-
With his hands still raised be blocked the attack easily, but now began to stand up. "You gotta get out there more then. Why not walk around town with me a lil'?"
-
"Don't be ridiculous." Zach flat-out refused, backing away slightly. If Cthulhu didn't accept his way of finishing duels, then Zach didn't mind finishing the duel the traditional way; until one falls unconscious.
-
"C'mon man, I'll treat you to lunch." Cthulhu gets into a more defensive looking stance and his white matter forms a large block, about the size of a microwave, in front of him. "I'm getting hungry from all of the crap I've already done today."
-
"This is a waste of time," Zach muttered, sheathing his sword at his left side. He sighed, and decided to get back to training, or maybe sparring somebody who wouldn't waste his time. ((Fin... just staying in character...))
