Her body now pressed against Zachary's, she crushed her left hand as the orb attached to Zachary gleamed brightly and suddenly exploded in a burst of brilliant light. The explosion of arcane energy sent Marcia flying back, the sword ripping out of her body as she did so, while it would have sent Zachary back as well due to the pure force. The female mage landed about twenty feet away from Zachary, slowing rising as blood dripped from the wound in her abdomen. Even then, she wasn't willing to give up.
