Black goes with everything. Besides it's obsidian, which is most commonly black. It'd be like saying, here is the cool new "Ruby Charm" helmet. It's made out of Ruby, oh but it changes color. It can be a yellow, green, or blue ruby. Lol It just wouldn't make much sense really.
-
.... Ya know rubies do come in those colors right? #TitanMasterRace
-
No they don't. A ruby is made of corundum. Sapphire is also made of corundum. They are exactly the same thing, the only difference being color. Any gem that is made of corundum that is pinkish to red, is a ruby. Any gem made of corundum that is any other color, is a sapphire.
It just wouldn't make much sense really.
What?.... It's a game... with space magic...
-
Sure, why not? While they're at it, they can also make rocket launchers shoot sniper rounds, or boots we wear on our heads, and grenades that give our enemies health too. It's a game with space magic, right?

A shader affecting a helmet is not the same as the exaggerated examples you have feebly tried to compare... Realax mate.

Dogs will mate with cats, horses will be eating each other. Pandemonium!

Haha SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!

-blam!- no. Or at least let us choose.
-
Why obsidian mind? It matches anything.

What he said^^ I'd just like the option too
