She giggled cutely and put her hand out with the book in it to offer it to Zach. "Here, take it. I've already read it a couple hundred times and it's better if you just read it than me summarizing it."

Zachary took the book, flipping over in his slender, violinist fingers, thinking of pocketing the book to read for later, but he found that rather rude. And so, he handed the book back, smiling politely. "I'm sure I can find it in the library and read it on my own time, miss. Now, what's a fine lady like you doing out here?" Zach was really only trying to be nice and not brushed off and laughed at like the godforsaken bartender, damn looks.
-
She sighs when he gives the book back and puts it underneath her arm. "Just reading outside the library for a change. I decided I'll never get over my shyness if I stay in the library all day." She went silent for a bit before quietly asking. "So, uh....What brings you out here?...If you don't mind me asking that is...."
-
"Well, came out for, first of all a drink," Zach murmured, sipping from his beer. "There was a cute bartender, ended up making a fool of myself." He smiled at Violet, not minding ridiculing himself to get a smile and a laugh out of others. "Then, maybe perform in public for some people. Would you like to hear a violin piece, miss?"
-
"Violin? I'd love to! I play the cello myself, but that's quite hard to just carry around." She laughed and smiled in a very innocent way. "I don't know why that bartender would turn you down, you're so adorable." As that last bit escaped her mouth she blushed and turned her face away from Zach.
-
The corners of Zach's full lips turned up slightly, but otherwise there was no reaction from him to the compliment, besides a glitter of happiness and embarrassment in his bright blue eyes. He nodded, turning away from Violet to unzip his violin case, opening it up to reveal the dark, oak wood violin inside, carefully polished and in perfect condition. With practiced hands he pulled the instrument out, took his bow and tightened the strings, adding his shoulder rest to the violin. After playing a few chords to check if it was tuned, Zach smiled once again at Violet, before closing his blue eyes, and placing the bow on the G string. He suddenly broke into song, playing a beautiful piece more from the romantic period the Mozart's solid classical; the Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1 in G Major, Opus 26.
-
Violet turned back to him the moment he started playing and bursted out the words. "Bruch Violin Concerto number 1 in G minor! I know this!" She cleared her throat and calmed herself. "You're a great player."
-
Zach suddenly stopped, lowering his violin by a couple inches, his eyelids remaining closed. He, of course, disliked it when people interrupted him as he was playing; it was rude and thoughtless, but Zach remained calm. He opened his eyes, smiling at Violet kindly. "Thank you, miss, much appreciated." Closing his eyes once more and placing his bow back on the G string of the violin, he began once again, absolutely milking the beautiful piece; the sound was strong and firm, the interchanging notes of the piece resonating throughout the village as the wildlife—birds, crickets, cicadas—fell silent, the only noise being Zach's violin playing.
-
Violet decided by the way he talked that staying silent was the best course of action. She didn't mind this of course because who would want to interrupt such great music.

Edited by Crrowly: 10/13/2016 4:54:28 AMAfter about ten minutes, the entire first movement was finally over, and Zach lowered his violin, smiling at Violet, and bowed. He returned his instrument to its case, sitting down beside Violet once more, closing the case and zipping it shut. The man turned his head towards the girl once more, the corners of his mouth tugging at his full lips. "Well? How was it?" Zach asked, always open to feedback. Really, he only wished that Violet enjoyed his playing; it was one of only things he did that attracted outside attention, and he wanted his violin playing to make a lasting impression on the world, screaming "Zachary Chandler was here".
-
Violet's face had a large smile on it and she seemed extremely happy. "Oh, I loved it! You're an amazing player." She clapped quietly in appreciation. "Bravo, kind sir!"
-
Zach laughed slightly, his hand brushing Violet's left arm ever so slightly as his arm went around the back of the bench. "Thank you, miss," Zach said gratefully, his bright blue eyes never leaving Violet's golden ones. "By the way; I never caught your name, and I'm sure it's lovely. Mine is Zachary, or Zach."
-
Once he touched her arm her face turned red and her eyes went wide. She began to trip over her words. "I-I'm uhh V....I m-mean Violet! Umm..." She averted her gaze as she became extremely embarrassed.
-
Zach let out a low chuckle at Violet's embarrassment, looking away from her as well, his own cheeks reddening. "Y-yeah, Violet. That's a lovely name, for a lovely lady." Of course the slight flirting was merely out of politeness, unless Violet wanted to turn it into something more; he hoped she didn't, as that would probably ruin a good friendship, and secondly they were -blam!-ing siblings—not that either of them knew that, of course.
-
Oh ho ho, but them not knowing makes it soooo much better! Violet's face reddens even more as she puts a hand on Zach's knee. "What's the name of the handsome young fellow next to me?"
-
"I'm pretty sure I told you that my name was Zachary," Zach said, however he didn't mind repeating. As he felt Violet's hand on his knee he blushed furiously, looking away for a moment before looking back at Violet. "Miss, are you hungry at all? I could treat you to dinner tonight, in maybe four hours."
-
She smiled and giggled. "I'd love to go on a date with you."
-
"I-it's not a-d-date...." His voice trailed off at the last word, and he let out an exasperated sigh, looking at Violet, his right eyebrow raised. "Okay, fine, consider it a date, miss. What time shall I pick you up?"
-
She smirked at him saying it was a date. When he asked about the time she thought it over for a few moments before responding. "How about 8?"
-
"Eight sounds good to me. Where shall we meet up?" Zach asked, smiling at Violet.
-
"Right here sounds good. Not too far from the library, so I won't have to travel far. Does that sound good to you?"
-
"Alright. I'll see you at 8." Zach leaned down and kissed the back of Violet's right hand like the chivalrous guy he secretly is, and grabbed his case, waving at Violet and beginning to walk away. ((You can reply or go to sleep here, and continue in the morning unless you want to continue now.))
-
Violet arrives at the meeting spot at 7:30pm. She's wearing her usual attire, but she has put more time in her hair and make up than usual. "Zach, you here already?"
-
The meeting spot was deserted, a note on the bench at which they had sat at earlier. It read: "Miss Violet, Something came up. Won't be able to make it. Sorry. Apologies, Zachary."
-
Violet sighed as she sat down on the bench. At first her eyes were only tearing up, but after a while she started crying. "Probably found Jacqui and decided he'd rather be with her."
End. You gettin' the super jealous of her sister feeling I'm going for?

I... guess?
