*Mortar yells that behind cover as he reaches for his PST. He makes sure he is completely hidden so he can execute this plan*

[b]He closes his eyes, and his aura expands to cover an area around him, about 10 feet total.[/b] "Hm, what will you do now I wonder...."

*He does not come out of cover, as if he has disappeared*

[b]He extends his aura even further, to 15 feet and feels out where morter is[/b] "Going for another underground strike?"

*Rather than what he expected, it is eerily silent for about three minutes. Then a portal opens in front of him, a figure walking through it. It is Mortar, but looks completely different. He wears a strange type of armor made of a black metal alloy. It seems to resemble Caesar's armor except the chainmail under the plates seems to have been strengthened. The plates themselves look as if they can take a crazy beating. The helmet resembles a xenomorph face except it doesn't have an elongated head and has a thin red hardlight visor around where Mortar's eyes are. He looks at you sword in hand, and holds his arm in front of him. After a second a red hard light triangular shield, about three and a half feet high, forms on his arm. He holds the shield in front of him and charges at Zane*

[b]Once morter enters the aura field, Zane turns and strikes the ground, creating several shockwaves. [/b] "Hm, I sense a transformation...."

*Mortar jams the shield in the ground, anchoring him to the ground and preventing him from moving* From you or me? *He then quickly gets up, stabbing into Zane with much more strength than before*

[b]He sidesteps, but not before the blade cuts into his side. Blood drips onto the ground as he grabs morter[/b] "I don't know.....You tell me!" [b]His hands glow as he hits morter with a direct aura blast.[/b]

Edited by BrandRobKus: 10/13/2016 9:20:08 PM*His armor takes most of the damage but he is still knocked back. Shaking it off he tackles Zane, some thrusters on his feet make the tackle stronger. As he tackles him he knees Zane's chest with each stride until he hits a tree, splintering it. Now, with metal armor over already strong knees... It's not really ideal for Zane*

[b]His aura shatters when he hits the tree, sending morter flying back into the bolder. [/b] "Now that stung a bit...."

*Mortar grunts as he hits the boulder* Yeah, that stung too... *He forms multiple small iron balls around Zane. After a second they all converge on you, pelting you with painful little musket ball like weapons*

[b]He moves his arms to protect his vitals, and bruises form as the assault stops. He looks at morter as he dashes forward and kicks the ground, sending a shockwave at him.[/b]

*He grabs Zane's leg before he can create the shockwave and yanks it upwards*

[b]He grunts as he kicks morter across the face with his other leg.[/b]

*He grunts as he receives the foot under his chin but still holds on, causing Zane to fall on his back, closer to his neck. Only then does he let go, back up and ready himself*

[b]He rubs his leg as he gets back up.[/b] "Hm, I wonder if you fought like this at the tournament, who would have won?"

Agreed. Then again I didn't have this armor when we first fought. Thank Deus for a valhite adamantium alloy. *He holds his hardlight shield in front of him, ready to strike*

[b]His aura shield comes back, flickering[/b] "Hm, almost outta juice....Lets finish this with one final attack?"

Let's. *Mortar rushes at Zane. The plates on his body get farther apart as his limbs grow longer, stronger. Three arms protrude from his back through holes that were opened a second prior*

[b]Aura gathers around his arms, and he readies himself[/b] "Come then, let's find out!"

*A wicked looking cannon forms in his three arms as he charges. Zane can tell he's smiling under the helm. [i]This[/i] will decide who is the victor, rather than that crazy fight so long ago*

[b]He dashes forward, charging at morter. Both his arms are raised, ready to strike. He smiles as well[/b]

*Mortar quickly stops in place and fires the cannon at Zane. He formed it, the least he can do is use it a little, make Zane dance around a little*

[b]He leaps over the cannon round, and continues to charge at morter.[/b]

*He fires a few more rounds and begins charging at Zane again. As he does this multiple thoughts run through his head. Mostly they are about what Zane could do next. Some about what he can say if he wins. Or loses.*

[b]He punches, shattering the cannon rounds as he closes in on morter. He waits to see what morter is gonna do, how he will finish this.[/b]
