Unlike the grasp of malok and pretty much every other pulse rifle. Almost every other pulse rifle you can either have stability or high caliber rounds but not both. Having high caliber rounds and maximum stability at that rate of fire makes the gun almost unbeatable.
That archetype of pulse rifles has no down fall as it is, there's hardly any damage drop off, it's good at ALL ranges. It can beat scout rifles at long range.

I think it's more a matter of you think it's the best weapon. Different guns work well for different players. For instance, I love the SUROS Regime, and I run it with focus fire. I wreck people on the regular with that thing. Most people think that gun is sub par, or at least average. But I can pull off 2.0 plus K/D's all day with it. In fact, a day or two ago, I had ten-ish games in a row with those kinds of numbers on my Warlock. Had one game with a four point something and around 30 kills. That health regen on kills comes in clutch. Style as a hallmark of victory, my friends.
