Adeline only stared upon the bent street light with a look of..hatred. Utmost, boiling hatred, it seemed. Although she contained herself from flung something truly terrible, she could not help the fact that her fists were clenched in fury, her face scrounged up in anger: Adeline hated magic and magicians with a passion, and she knew that this one..was something of the sort. And he dared to refuse to tell her whether he was aligned with the Abyss or not?!
"Tell me. Now. Are. You. Affiliated. With. The. Abyss."

The hands he had recently put behind his back twitched... And his face darkened, the white reflection of the glasses covering his eyes. He took the cigarette and placed it in his mouth again as he uttered one, simple word. No. He chuckled, his smile growing, and face returning to normal. Did I scare you? No, that's a silly question to ask, huh?

The look of the Watcher remained unmoving and eerie, though her tenseness lifted once Atom resumed his much more...jolly tone. Or perhaps sadistic? She didn't know how to exactly describe him, but he was certainly an interesting man. "Good, good. Then thou have no quarrel with Farron's Undead Legion. A truly grand thing, tis is."

You know what is grander? He pulls out a... Piece of candy? And tosses it at your feet. He smiled, in his tired way. I'm not a fan of strawberry, but some are. It's probably better then, well, the souls of the damned or something. His head turns the other way, off to the side, looking away. So, I'm guessing you kill all darkness... In a not so white knight way?

"...Something of the sort. Also..white knight?" Adeline only stared upon the piece of candy with her two rues, one natural and the other cybernetic. She figured that this was some sort of test; that the man was trying to see if she truly trusted him or not. Of course, this could always just be him handling off candy to murderous cannibals. She'd play along. The cybernetic clicking and movement of an at was heard as her left arm extended outwards, lifting up the piece of candy. "Interesting.."

It all ways but one it was normal. The sugar level seemed extremely high for piece of candy (I assume you scanned it? Idk). But, nothing too crazy, to the point where it would not matter, but simply taste incredibly sweet. Not for all people. I carry those in my pocket for the kids in my office. A reward for getting a shot, or exam. His smile faded, replaced by a grim line, once again the reflection of a lamp causing his eyes to remain unseen. Though, I suppose your no kid, huh? The woman was about two feet over him, towering over the scientist. They just keep getting bigger! Yet again, his eyes returned to normal, a smile spreading across his face.
