I agree it should not be made easier but exploding shanks happen sometimes, but if I die because they caught me from behind then its my fault. I also feel like we should have lost our rune in CoO tho.

The difference being that exploder shanks are the ONLY enemy that scales to your level, no matter what. At 390, I was seeing exploder shanks at a fused offering that 1hko me, and their light was what my light was. That is a problem, because not even cursed thrall, the only other enemy that explodes, will scale to you. Cursed thrall can be survived if theyre on top of you (sometimes), exploder shanks can almost never be survived (max armor and an overshield might, havent tested.) Without exploder shanks, I dont think anyone would worry about dying at over 360 light, and exploder shanks are the only reason i die in forge anymore

Am I supposed to feel bad that sometimes people die in an event that isn't meant to be soloed, but can be? "Well some scrubs died, better make it easier"?
