So for those players who don't play Elder Scrolls Online, one of the biggest updates has just hit the consoles. This update makes all enemies in the game the exact same level. Your character is scaled to the level of the enemies you fight as you get stronger. Restrictions on where you can go to quest and level have been entirely lifted and you can now play the game with and see players of opposing factions in PvE content (Cyrodil and Imperial City is unchanged.)
So for those of you who play Elder Scrolls online, are you excited? Is there any new armor sets you're looking into incorporating into your builds? For those who have purchased the game but have not touched it for a while, would these changes entice you into coming back? Would those attract players who have not played before?
Below is an overview of a build I'm working on and what I will be running with this update.
One of the armor sets I'm personally looking forward to is the Rattlecage set. The 3, 4 and 5 piece bonuses grant spellpower and major empowerment at all times (20% bonus to spell power.) My Templar is a bit unique. He's a hybrid between a Tank and a Healer. I run full heavy armor and a restoration staff for healing with dual wield swords on my backbar.
My ability bar is set up with Breath of Life for emergency healing, Ritual of Retribution and Mutagen for area heal and heals over time, healing over time and major mending buff (20% bonus healing,) Inner Rage as a ranged taunt to catch aggro and Immovable Brute for extra armor raiting. My Backbar with swords has Puncturing sweeps, Restoring Focus and Radiant Oppression incorporated in with my taunt and Ritual. The two Ultimates I run are Barrier and Warhorn for soaking up damage and buffing my allies as needed.
My character is a Breton for the extra magic resistance, I'm also a Vampire because that Undeath ability (at 50% health and lower, 33% reduction in damage taken) is very strong for tanks. I have champion points into elemental defender so fire is no problem at all. I run the Pariah set (3 peices of jewelry, 2 armor pieces) and that increases your armor rating as your health lowers (stacks well with Undeath.) In all heavy armor I have no issues with sustaining magic use and no issues surviving hits without sword and shield (unless veteran trials I'm assuming. I haven't done any trials and I'm assuming tanking in there is much harder.) My only weakness is that I have no extra spell power. My character can't do any damage at all. The Rattlecage set is going to remedy that. I can't wait to see what this monstrosity I'm building will be able to do!
The new weapon ultimates are bad ass! It's also really cool to be able to duel your friends or just watch fights break out all over the place
