*A Wild Gringo has appeared*
Hola
Ornaments are the new weapon and armor skins Bungie released for Rise of Iron. There are ornaments for many Exotic weapons, Trials armor, Raid Armor, and the Days of Iron armor set. These ornaments do anything from add a glowing affect, to changing the colors, to adding a glow, or changing the entire appearance of the armor or weapon.
For the most of the ornaments, they can only be obtained through Radiant treasures, which themselves are obtained once a week from the SIVA Crisis Heroic playlist or as many times as you want through real money. To apply an ornaments, you need silver dust, which are also obtained through Radiant Treasures.
There is also the minority of ornaments, for the Trials and Raid ornaments, you can only obtain them through going flawless or completing the challenge mode.
The only real complaint I have heard about ornaments were for the Days of Iron Armor set. For those of you who don't know, they look identical to the Iron Banner armor sets and change drastically when the ornaments are applied. To apply the ornaments, you needed 5 silver dust. That was 5 weeks of Radiant treasures for those who didn't pay. Many people were annoyed by the fact that you could not apply all the ornaments on all the armor until you had played for 25 weeks (half a damn year). To make up for this, Bungie gave everyone a free 15 silver dust (I think it was for a different reason actually) and they made the Days of Iron Ornaments not require any silver dust to apply.
With that problem resolved, what do you think of ornaments?

I love them, especially the Hawkmoon ornaments. Hawkmoon's base design is fantastic but the Moonglow just gives it a whole new level of beauty. Carrion is really nice too with the wooden grip and Red Death-esque design. Honorable mentions go to Lingering Vestige (Telesto), Shock Hazard (Zhalo Supercell), Special Ops (MIDA Multi-Tool), Storm's Reproach (Invective), and Royal Flush (Monte Carlo). These are also really nice ornaments.

I like the Ornaments. Anything that adds more visual customization options is great. I also really like that once applied, they can be turned on and off.
