Anyone who puts in an offering is doing so willingly. Nobody is forcing you to put it in by yourself.
The way these people are talking makes it seem as if this is a big in game issue right now. If thats true for them, then this situation where they die in a solo forge happens frequently. If this does happen frequently, why are you complaining on the forums? You should either be trying to improve on your own play so that you're less likely to die, or you should find other people.
Archons Forge is a PUBLIC EVENT. PUBLIC. It is DESIGNED for more than one person. You can't tell Bungie that they need to make their public event more suited for solo play, that defeats the entire point of it.
Why don't kids these days enjoy a little challenge? Instead they go in expecting everything to be handed to them. Go play MegaMan on NES. Go play Life force, or Silver Surfer. Those games are incredibly challenging (Silver Surfer is actually too hard), but that's a good thing. It gives you a sense of accomplishment everytime you beat a stage. Where's that sense of accomplishment if you win because you have seemingly infinite lives? That's what these people are asking for.
If I go into forge solo, I'm expecting a challenge. And I'm up for that challenge. These little kids you're defending are not up for the challenge, and I don't think Bungie should cater to people who aren't willing to even try.
