So why the hell are you hunting Butthurtman? Any particular reason?
Wilson asked.
This wasn't particularly planned, but we're here. I suppose Lance has been keeping tabs on us, then.
Wolfe said.
Turning to face her, his cloak blew backwards in the wind, exposing his familiar suit of armor, although something quickly grabbed Riley's attention. There was a crudely drawn and unpainted X across a part of his stomach, presumably where Schrader had run him through.

She grins, standing on her tip toes and planting a kiss on his cheek. "There ya go. I brought something for you from Angel City, but it's a surprise." She says coyly.
-
He stood almost stupefied for a moment, placing a hand on his own face where she had kissed him. Blinking, he seemed to snap out of it, a cheeky smile on his face. I was just happy to see you again, you didn't need to get me anything.
-
"Too bad, I did anyways." She says with a laugh, plopping down on her bed, having a seat.
-
So what is it? I'm not a fan of teasing. he said, sitting down beside her, sliding his massive rifle off of his back so that he could actually sit down. He held the weapon by the barrel, which pointed skyward.

"If I'm the one doing it, you would be." She mutters, a suggestive smirk playing at her lips. She reaches into her jeans pockets and pulls out a ring. The metal was all black, and looked suspiciously like the metal of her swords. The stone was a bright blue, a sapphire, rather large and in the shape of a square. The most curious thing about it, was the dull orange glow inside the stone. Almost like coals burning. Micro thin lines were etched into the shape of a wolf head inside the stone, ever glowing like a dull flame. A master work of craftsmanship, and probably worth a fortune. She hands it to him with a smile on her face. "Merry Christmas."
-
He took the ring, rolling it gently in his hand, looking it over carefully. He examined the craftsmanship, in shock that she would spend so much on him. He was almost embarrassed, but he appreciated the gesture more than he gave off. You... you saved my life. You didn't need to do this.... He hugged her, a contented smile on his face.
-
"Someone owed me a favor. It was no big deal, but I think it's badass." She says with a laugh, hugging him back and breathing him in. Jackson was so easy to be with, so easy to be lax and open to, he made her feel great.
-
She was the first person he had really opened up to in a long time. While it took him time, he was slowly allowing himself to finally show a little bit of emotion. Perhaps he'd find her something nice at a later time. Taking the ring, he let go after a moment of embrace, and pulled the dog tags from neck, his father's. Undoing the necklace clip, he slid the ring on, in between the tags. Closing the clip, he made sure it was in place, and he tucked it safely under his bandolier, so that it stayed in place. Good luck charm.
-
"Good." She smiled and leaned back on the bed, placing her feet on Jackson's lap and her hands behind her head. The same way they'd looked so long ago in her penthouse. "The metal on it, is Xarite. The same thing my swords are made out of. Pretty much indestructible."
-
I wish you'd learn I wasn't a footstool. That's just a degradation... he said, shaking his head in mocking disapproval. In reality, he didn't care, he was quite alright with it.
-
She waves a hand. "Stop whining, you'll live." She says, smiling.
-
Oh no! How will I ever live with your feet on my lap? Woe is me! Oh horrible world! He was so blandly histrionic about it that it was funny.
-
She sweeps her foot sideways and pokes him in the chest with it; but it doesn't do much considering his armor and her lack of effort. She stares at the ceiling; eyes wandering over the white plaster.
-
Bored? Do you want something? Look I need communication. His jesting tone contrasted with his serious expression. And I'm no masseuse... In the background, Wilson sighed in disappointment, face-palming.
-
Riley laughs and glances at Wilson with a grin and jerks a thumb at Wolfe as if to say, "this guy."
-
Holy sh*t, kid! Wilson finally shouted. You really are too f*ckin' awkward! Jesus H. Christ... Wolfe carefully lifted her feet from his lap, and walked slightly away from the bed, where he disengaged his armor. Climbing out, Riley could see that he was wearing black combat pants and boots; and a black Under-Armour long-sleeve shirt. Turning back around, he returned to where he had been sitting, and looked back at Riley, smiling his sh*t-eating grin.
-
Riley raises an eyebrow at him and shakes her head with a smile. He was really awkward to the point where it was cute. "Crow didn't allot time for women lessons did he?"
-
Not easy to keep up with girls when you're balancing work, school, and a thorough getting your *ss kicked, or should I say training? He said, rubbing the back of his neck.
-
"Yeah, I know the feeling." She says, sighing and fingering the triple star necklace around her neck, staring at the ceiling. Kyr's necklace.
-
Not your necklace, is it? he flopped back, now assuming she was no longer going to use his lap as a footrest or that she wanted a massage. Kyr's? He wasn't sure if he was pushing it, but he figured that he'd wait and see how she reacted.
-
"Mmhm." She said quietly, twisting the stars around on their chain. "She bought it with money I made from killing Annihilation. It cost a fortune, made of some kind of metal where there's only a certain.." She waves a hand. "You get the idea."
-
And that was his sign to ask no further. His reply was terse in his normal manner. Uh-huh. He was silent, looking to the ceiling, thinking.
-
"You know one of us has to ask questions right? Between the two of us, were like lockboxes." Was that an..invitation? She sat up and scooted over next to Wolfe, her side against his and resting her head on his shoulder.
-
Ladies first. he said, resting his head against hers.
-
"Oh come on, you look like your brimming with questions." In truth, she wanted him to ask her simply because she wanted to talk. No matter who it was, she wasn't gonna play show and tell because she felt like it. That didn't mean she didn't want to though.
